I had my baby on 1 December. Just wondered what other people's experiences of episiotomy heeling was? It isn't stingy now but I have what feels like nerve pain down there, anyone experienced this? Also regarding pelvic floor am trying to do the exercises but I am srruggling to do them at the minute and it feels like when I have to go I have to rush to the toilet

I had an episiotomy and was painful for 2 weeks to the extent i couldnt sit or walk laying was most comfy.
I was advsed lavender oil and milk which was a lifesaver.
I was also told not to do any pelvic floors until it felt nearly normal down there. xx

I've had episiotomies. 2 of the horrible things.
I was still on 400mg of ibuprofen at 6 weeks post birth with the 2nd on.

I did heal but had a funny twitch thing down below for ages which I put down to nerve thing. It didn't affect anything, was just strange. 3 rd baby born with small 2nd deg tear :)

It's still early days. I'd try and see what your pelvic floor feels like now, can you do any at all? Even doing 5 a day will help. It's just time I'm afraid.

Yeh I had what you describe!! Mine felt fine after about 2 weeks, though i get the occasional stinging and disconfort now out of nowhere. And with regards to the toilet I still hardly ever feel the need to go but when I do I have to rush as I won't make it :-( xx
