hi, I really want to start trying for a baby but I have recently started a job just over 1 month ago. am I entitled to maternity pay if we conceive soon? I have done lots of research and I am getting mixed answers. thank you!!

Really depends on your companys policy tbh.

If i am correct, most, ideally like you to have been there at least a year.

I would say theres no time like the present and it might take you a few months to catch anyway.

You are eligible for statutory maternity pay as long as you work for 26 consecutive weeks before your 25th week of pregnancy. So as long as you stayed in the job, you would be eligible. You may not get company maternity pay though
