Basically I'm addicted to energy drink, one in particular, low calorie Monster. Prior to falling pregnant I was drinking at least one can a day. As soon as I was pregnant I cut down alot and manage to just have perhaps 1 - 2 cans a week, normally sharing a can with hubby at the weekend and then treating myself to a can during the week. I thought it was ok because I read that the recommended caffeine intake during pregnancy was anything less than 200 mg a day. A can of Monster contains 150mg and I don't drink anything else that contains Caffeine. Now a couple of people have said to me that energy drinks are a huge no no whilst pregnant and the can cause all manner of problems. I've checked online and there's alot of conflicting information. I am obviously going to cut it out completely now but do you think I could have harmed baby already? Its making me feel sick just thinking about it.
