Hi ladies!

It’s been a long time since I’ve logged in here, I used to be Broody2013 a few years ago and was quite active on here back then.

We’ve been trying over 5 years now and have found out we are a very rare case. I have polycystic ovaries which is not unusual but our first IVF outcome was.

We were accepted for IVF in January but at egg collection all the 16 follicles were empty - they have never encountered this before at the clinic. They weren’t sure if another cycle would bring any different results but we were so blessed and got 6 eggs on Friday, about 1/3rd of the follicles I had had eggs in this time but they still can’t explain all the empty ones! I am a medical mystery

Out of those, 4 have been fertilised and we are waiting until tomorrow to see if any are suitable to transfer and I am getting sooooo anxious. I’m also in a bit of discomfort still from the procedure which I assume is normal, and am finding passing urine harder than usual, so I’m going to phone to check it’s ok as I’ve been told I’m at high risk of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome and it’s making me more edgey as a result.

What I would really like to know is if we are fortunate enough to have the transfer tomorrow, what if anything can help our chances of success? And is there anything we need to prepare or take with us which would help? We have the iPod already.

Thanks so much xxx

Morning and welcome back ❤️

Goodness what a journey you’ve had ... but well done for getting this far and finger crossed for your transfer tomorrow.

I’ve had 2 double embryo transfers and really there isn’t a whole lot you can do. It’s a short procedure much like a smear and it’s over and done with in 10 mins or so. A partially full bladder is helpful for them, they can see better and helps them get it in the right spot. But that’s it.

Once embry is on board you can get on with your day. 1st transfer I was fine and went back to work 2nd one I had a bit of a rough time. I had an upset tummy and couldn’t relax enough to get the speculum in and I was a bit battered afterwards but just one of those things.

You do whatever feel right after your transfer but all the work is done, it’s at this point nature or God take over ..

Good luck x

Hey, I remember you!
Have wondered a few times how you have been doing x

As Jezby said there isn’t really a whole you you can do, just try to stay relaxed and stay away from possible stressful situations (and people) during the tww. Fingers crossed this is it for you!

Hope you have good news tomorrow x

Wising you luck for your news and praying for some lovely embryos for you.

I had 1 single embryo transfered in Feb and a positive result but an early mc. Having 2 embryos transfered in a couple of weeks time.

I was off work the last time a d took it very easy but this time I am trying to Continue as normal as I can.

Let us know your news!

The only advice I can give you is what I did and it worked
Eat McDonald’s fries after transfer something about the salt makes the ohss symptoms calm down apparently and who doesn’t love a McDonald’s
Get a fresh pineapple and eat the core for 4 days day of transfer then 3 days after the core has bromelian which is supposed to help with implantation
And try and relax easy said then done know it’s all old wives tales but I was willing to try anything x
