Early scan, no heartbeat at 7.6

Hi all, I had an early scan at what I thought was 7.6 weeks today. There was a yolk sac and what the snographer thought was a 2mm feral pole, but she wasn’t sure for definite. However, there was no heartbeat which should be showing by now(I had a transvaginal scan too). I’ve been called back for a rescan in a week as she thinks I’ve either got my dates wrong or it has stopped growing. Even if I ovulated right at the end of my cycle, I think this would still make me 6.5, which I think should still show a heartbeat, am I right? Any thoughts / advice / experiences (good or bad) would be really appreciated. As you can imagine, I think this is going to the longest week of my life

Gosh hun how worrying. Heartbeat can be seen at 6 weeks could you be earlier than that maybe?

ThNk you for your reply. I really don’t see how I could be earlier, my LMP was 22/1 and I had a positive test on 16/2. I’m really hoping somehow I’ve got my dates wrong as I am feeling sick a lot and have sore boobs. I haven’t had any pain or bleeding either. Really confused x

I know what you are going through.. I had an early scan (after some bleeding at 4-5 weeks) - I went Friday thinking I was 6+2... sac but no heartbeat... so feared the worst.

I've to go back next Friday... having done some calculations from my suspected conception date (I ovulated on day 20 this cycle) - my dates are a week out... which would explain what the scan showed us....

So when I go back next Friday - I think I will be 6+4 (as per NEW calculations)... so I am optimistic that's all it was... maybe the same for you ? Did you ovulate late ?

I worked out my dates based on my LMP - but that's such a rough guide (and is based on a 28 day cycle and a day 14 ovulation)... xx

Thank you for your reply, I hope all goes well for you on Friday. I think I do ovulate late, but that would put me a week behind at the most, so I would still have been 6.6 at the scan, where I’m sure a heartbeat should be seen at that stage. It’s just a waiting game unfortunately x

But conception can happen same day as the day you BD or day after or even 2 days after. Theres still jope babe xx
