Hi, i was sent for an early scan just to make sure i wasnt having another ectopic pregnancy.
Im 5+2 days. We seen the sac but that was all. Midwife done a normal scan and internal scan and nothing. I know its really early but i feel really anxious now. Would it be wayyyy to early to see anything?

I think from memory I've heard lots of woman say it's normally 6 weeks plus to hear the heartbeat.
Have they booked you in for a re scan? What did they say?

Try not to worry xx

Hi, do you mean yolk sac? i had a scan at 5+5 and there was just a yolk sac - no embryo visible. Had another scan at 7+6 and there was baby with a beautiful heartbeat:-) the sonographer said that she didnt expect to see anything but a sac before 6 weeks so it sounds correct. Do you have another scan booked? Good luck! x

I had a scan at 6 weeks and no foetal pole so they dated me at 5 weeks two weeks later and I'm 8+2 with a little bean with heart beat so early scans aren't always accurate
