My son will be 2 and a half when the new baby arrives. Would you bother buying a double pram? He still naps for 2-3 hours in the morning it's crazy but he's very tall so I don't know how much longer he'll last in a pram. I have a bugaboo cameleon 3 at the moment xx

When are you due? Can you leave making a decision for a while to see how much he goes in the Pram nearer the time? I only suggest this because my LB turned 2 in Feb and mostly likes to be out of it to walk now (frustrating!), so I'm thinking about a buggy board (though not convinced that'll get much use either!). He will be a couple months off 3 when the new one arrives all being well x

Not until early December but my son has hypermobility so suffers with pains in his legs. He loves to walk but can't walk very far without being in pain, poor little lamb. Maybe one of those buggy boards with the seat would be better, although I hear it's very hard to walk with those on the pram, you have to walk to the side xx

I'm wondering this too, my daughter will be 2.5 when baby arrives in early November.

I would recommend one, particularly cus you do a lot of walking. Riley is very tall but still fits into our buggy seats quite well

Oh I see, yeah in that case I'd go for a double one then. Or keep the single one for him and babywear? Though i didn't always find this practical when out and about so double Pram seems like a good option x

Thanks ladies. I'm on a bugaboo sell and swap page on Facebook so maybe someone would be willing to swap for the double if I add a bit of cash. Those double bugaboos turn into a single too which I like but I'm not forking out over a grand for a new one xx

Hi, Just wanted to say I had my second baby when my little boy was 19 months I didn't have a double, I got a buggy board and when he gets tired he gets on. He hated the stroller anyway so he likes he can get on and off board as he pleases. Good luck.

I've got the bugaboo donkey. I bought it with my first because we knew we'd have a second baby fairly quickly and I didn't want to spend the money on a chameleon only to find out I should have bought the double (I was pregnant again when my first was 5 months). The side basket was so useful before I had my second too! So currently I have a 12 month old and my daughter who is 2 years 3 months. She was still in the bugaboo until about 23 months and then she just started walking everywhere and would never go in it now even if I try. She will walk and walk and walk. We bought the buggy board attachment which bugaboo sell with a little scooter type seat on and that has been great because if she is really tired she will sit on that to get back to the car or wherever we are. That was £100 and I'd maybe suggest that for your little boy if he doesn't go in it much anymore. Obviously come August I'll be back to using it as a double with the buggy board attached sometimes too so I've got my money's worth! X

Sorry lulu I just read the bit about him having hyper mobility. So the buggy board with a donkey works quite well because you can offset it to the basket side and walk to the other side and lengthen the handle and then it's not difficult to walk with at all but I imagine it might be harder with the chameleon because it would be right between your legs. You can flip it up when your oldest isn't on it (or not attach it at all if you aren't going far) and you don't kick it when it is flipped up x

My oldest daughter was just over 2.5 years when youngest was born and we went with a oyster max 2 which has defo been a great help! My oldest doesn't like walking much, even now at over 3 years, so it's really handy if she gets tired after a while she can sit in. I also liked it when I had the travel cot attached when youngest was newborn. The seats can be used in various ways and it can also be used as a single. Im still using the double pushchair now 8 months later and wouldn't be without it. We do a lot of walking x

19 month age gap between my two, we bought an uppababy vista 2015 & its fab. Still use it now that they're 3 & 17 months! So much easier to get out & about with the two of them by myself when I know they're both strapped in & safe, my 3 yr old has a habit of running off! We have an ergobaby too & I still use that occasionally but would definitely recommend a double buggy x
