Doppler question - what was that noise?

We got the Angel Sounds Doppler which is brilliant but yesterday, as well as the hb, I could hear other noises. I know this'll sound crazy so early on but it was like something hitting the sensor bit. Is this just my gurgling tummy or is it the baby?

At my 16 week midwife check she got the doppler out and aswell as hearing the heartbeat there was loads of swooshing sounds and lots of popping... she said it was all the baby moving and that he/she is very active!

This is the baby moving in the fluid babe... Its an odd noise... When you get bigger you will notice with the angel heartbeat monitor that it will kick at you, this noise is a weird 'doosh' noise 9times out of 10 hurts your ears its that strong... But congratulations on hearing the HB and the strange noise... Bet brought a massive smile to your face... xx

Oh woo hoo. You girls have made my day! Thanks :hugs: xx

Aww, Your welcome... Although i think your lil bubzy is the one to get the credit for making your day... Soon when you talk to it, it will rekonise your mummy and be moving more. Especially when you talk to it and it moves to your questions... I sat in the bath the other night n thought id read my book out loud to my boy... he was wiggling so i said is this book boring you mr... he booted me so hard i was shocked n dropped my book... think that was a yes mum!! haha
xx

Absolutely - wee bab has got me grinning like the Cheshire cat! Oh my goodness really? Ha ha. That's got to be one of the most surreal experiences I can imagine! You'll need to start experimenting with different reading materials lol

Xx

Yeah although im not really feeling Thomas the tank enginue stories just yet.. haha... Think ill read my (now soggy) now hate story to myself.. Story time for my mr has now stopped haha.. Was very strange... you'll have to keep me updated how you lil one is doing and kicking around... let me know if he/she kicks when you talk or ask questions... :D xxx

I hear this too! If I didn't know better I'd think they were trying to kick it on purpose lol but sometimes its deafening!xxxx

Ha ha. I think you're right leaving Thomas until your boy is here - get as much normal reading in while you can!

I will let you know how I get on with the talking and questions - honestly can't wait for the reaction! Lol xx

Ha ha. I wondered that as well as it was like a proper boot lol. I jumped out my skin as the volume was up full! Xx

ive heard that too, however, the blighter wont keep still enough to hear the heartbeat yet! lol

Ive been told that ladies that carry a little excess weight have to wait longer to hear as the doppler has to get through the fat!

My LO has kicked the doppler a few times and its deafening lol! X

Hi EssJayPea, it's wonderful when you hear all the new noises as baby gets stronger, I ended up in tears when I was 15 weeks, because of the most amazing thing! I was listening away and then started talking to bubs, and he/she reacted to my voice!! I was totally overwhelmed, and put this video on youtube to show everyone:

At 9/10 seconds you hear a blip blip noise, and again further on, that's it moving when I talk to it. You can record on the AngelSounds, so let us hear what you're getting - I love hearing them!! xx

PS - now that bubs is bigger, it constantly kicks and punches the doppler, must think it's funny :p

Hey, I'm 24 weeks tomorrow and have the Doppler, it's brill... Ha it from about 16weeks as my boyfriend couldn't make the midwife appointment to hear the heartbeat. I got lots of strange noises aswell and was confused at first, always found the wee heartbeat. Was amazing how it moved from side to side and further back. Anyway now I'm further on and can feel baby move much more, when I listen with my Doppler and can hear a noise, I can also feel the baby move at the same time. Also I think you can pick up the noise of the placenta aswell which is a whooshing noise to!! :) xx
