Doppler help

I cant find a heartbeat using the doppler - o top it off I have had a few stringy bits of brown when I wipe. My DH is being a useless ass, and I am panicking. The mw will just send me to a&e and I havent got time for that. I have a very imp meeting today which i cant miss. The brown is only every few days, and tiny stringy bits (very dark) help please xxxx

stay calm hun, its still early to reliably hear the heartbeat on the doppler, could be baby is in an awkward position. dark brown stringy bits doesn't sounds like anything to worry about (this is why OH won't let me have a doppler!). Take a deep breath, get ready for your meeting and try tonight when bubs will have moved around a bit xxxx

Could the brown stringy bits be old blood?? From what I hear this is quite common - as long as it is't bright red I don't think it's a problem??
Also, with the doppler please do not worry about it. Sometimes baby can just move into an awkward position, I would leave it and try again later.

Also, just saw your ticker and relaised you are 13 weeks - this a bit early to hear the HB with a doppler anyway so please do not worry if you are not picking anything up yet

Whatever it is, it is definitely old blood. Both my mcs have started with brown. I am so panicky. I tried to reassure with the doppler and then couldn't be as couldn't find anything. Fuck fuck fuck xxxx

Please try not to panic. Once your meeting is over go home and relax. You'd be surprised what a good bit of rest and relaxation can do - i'm sure there is nothig to worry about and this will all pass later

Yeah try not to stress more.
I had trouble with my doppler and that was at 19 weeks. Use oil - mine seems to work better with that. Press in firm and try aiming lower down. Sometimes it can take me 10 minutes to find my girls HB and it is a worry. Good luck and see what the MW says after your meeting. xxx

Ok I have telephoned epau, got an appointment for next tueday, so at least that is something. The brown is minimal, and only the occasioanlly when wiping and I have to look as its almost stringy not cmucus. I'm so stressaed out!! X

Oh babe don't panic I'm sure your LO is absolutely fine.. Thinking of you!!
You're now in tri 2 so your risk of mc is so much lower, and I think it's still too early to hear hb. Just think LO is only the size of a peach so that must make its teeny weeny heart the size of a small nut or seed!! Hope you're ok, text me if you want to chat hunny xxx

Don't panic, I've had times when I've had to go back to the Doppler later on as I couldn't find any hb.
Relax, try again at bed time when it's quiet and calm x

awww I hope all works out ok for you!! Do not panic, it won't help you anymore by panicking. Can you not just call up at your EPU now and get it checked as an emergency, rather than have to wait? xxx

Thanks ladies, my epau doesn't wrk that way, by app only and once they r gone they are gone. I feel fine. Just wondering what is going on, I hve no cramping touch wood. The only way to get scanned today, maybe is to go through a n e! Been ringing mw all morning and left messaghes yet no answer or retuirn call!!! Xx

Please do not panic about the doppler... last week at 27 weeks pregnant my LO refused to be heard on the doppler. He has been like it all the way through pregnancy!!! Yesterday was the first day we got a proper heartbeat and he stayed put so we could here it continuously!

Like said, you are still very early in using a doppler terms. My doppler says to be used after 21 weeks on it! x

Doppler - if you use it place it along your knicker line use lots of gel. It will be hiding there until later weeks. Mine was always low down by the pubic bone until 15-16 weeks.

I had brown discharge too & blood on and off till week 14 so don't panic. I did at times and when you need to hear the hb the little tinkers hide...I'm sure it's deliberate!xx
