Has anyone got one of these?? What are your views on it?

It’s a car seat that has wheels basically for those of you that haven’t seen it.

A friend of mine has one, and I like the idea of it, but i feel sort of conflicted about it due to guidelines for keeping babies in car seats etc. That said.. on days where I wouldn’t be able to walk for whatever reason it would be really really useful for the school run. Which is obviously a lot of the time..

Another reason I’m thinking it would be useful is because of the car I have. I have a hybrid car with a battery in the boot which makes it not hold much stuff basically.

Hmm.. I dunno. Any views?

My friend and SIL have one. Both are quite big babywearers though and only use their 'pram' occasionally.

Not sure that helps much ?

That’s interesting.. I’m planning on wearing the baby a bit this time.. my friend runs a sling library so I was going to have her show me properly how to carry.

I’d never seen one of these seats until very recently so was a bit suprised to find it was a car seat come pram all in one!

I have car seat that clips to pram which I will use again- Im assuming this carseat/pram combo is similar. I used to just get baby out in cafe or wgatever when out and about to adhere to the whole not being in seat for long periods. Ill also have a sling handy for same reason. Maybe you could do the same? Xx

Hi selina.. no this is just a car seat. It has integrated wheels and handle. It doesn’t clip to anything.

It doesn’t have a base unit etc to go in the boot. You just take it out of the car and unfold the wheels I think. Or pop the wheels up... I haven’t actually seen how it works!

I already have a travel system.. just musing on whether this would be a good idea or not really. I think I might go and test it out tomorrow!

Oh, I thouggt you got it out of the car and could push it round like a pram. X

I've seen these a lot at the airports. I do love the idea too of not having separate wheels but like you worry that baby will end up in that car seat position for longer than recommended. Also surely must be limited to a year or so before baby out grows the seat?

Personally I am not a fan. Your baby would be spending time in it while in the car and then again while out and about. That can't be good for their back. I mean I wouldn't want to be in the same position for long period of time. DD was in the car seat only when driving and then transferred into pram. But that is my opinion x
