Hiya

I have been trying to conceive all in all for 7 yrs. Wen with ex husband never got pg and was diagnosed and treated for endometriosis. Had Danazol injection for 4 months which gave me a chemical menopause.

Before that, wen i was 16 i was diagnosed with PCOS due to one of my hormone counts being abnormally high.

Had a USS which said the only thing they could see was a follicle on one ovary. Still no idea wat that meant.

Now with OH and we had a mc on 3rd june 2011. We were heartbroken and its the only time i have been pg.

Am so worried that time is running out as am 35 in jan.

My AF is 12 days late and all tests bfn. My body is playing tricks and i hate wat its doing to me as since mc i have had 2 regular cycles albeit shorter.

Have another USS on thur 25th aug to make sure everything has gone from mc and to see if there is anything to be removed or concerned about.

Have floated around on TTC threads and sometimes so down by the fact that there are ppl in the world that sneeze and get pg and i can bd until im sore and dont even get a sniff of a sticky bean.....

But this is me! Pleased to meet u ladies and sorry if i bored u to death x

Hey Sparkle you didnt bore anyone. It sounds like you have had a hard time. Its all really frustrating in the world of ttc for us who don't seem to be one of those lucky folk who seem to get pregnant at the drop of a hat or when they are not even trying. Ladies in here are all really lovely and so knowledgeable!

Oh and I have an Ultrasound appointment on the 25 August too!

Awww Saprkle that is so sad about your MC ((((hugs)))) for that , haven't you been given any other fertility help other than the treatment for endo?

Yes i believe a had a small immature follicle on my ovary at the time of scan , during your cycle a follicle will grow and when it matures pop an egg out???? i think thats how it goes .

Yeah i know the feeling about women sneezing and gettin pregnant! lol at the BD till your sore, i know i shouldn't laugh but it made me lol . So any more on the PCOS diagnosis cant they check your ovaries again and do bloodwork?? may give you a bit of a clearer piccy x

Hi Hun,

Welcome!

Are you under a fertility specialist?

Considering time spent TTC, the fact you have PCOS and the fact you're nearly 35 I reckon you should be referred by your GP if you've not already.

St Mary's hospital is meant to be good if it's near enough to you they have the best NHS fertility clinic in the north west. I can also recommend a good private doc too.

Sorry about your M/C hun how far along were you, did you get to know the cause? :hugs:

xx

Hiya Mel

I grew up only 15 mins drive from where you live, although i don't live there anymore my family do, it's a small world :)

Go and get yourself a FSH blood test as that will indicate how much time you have left.

I wouldn't mess around either at your age, although most women don't hit menopause until 45 or even as late as 55 so you might still have some time to play with but the Nhs will not treat you once you turn 40.

Personally, i'd be doing a lot of research on clomid and tamoxifen, assisted IUI (where they use drugs to make you ovulate and then inseminate you with sperm) and also on surrogacy which i think might be your worst case scenario in this situation.

I'm sorry about your mc and although it is a good sign that you got pregnant once - at least your hubby is fertile - i wouldn't hang around for it to happen again because of your age.

As Maybe Baby mentioned, i'd definitely be requesting referral to a fertility consultant to get the ball rolling about you being treated. Being diagnosed isn't going to get you pregnant on it's own

Hi, got my fingers crossed for you, just wanted you to know I'm nearly 36 and also got endomitriosis so know some of the worries and difficulties it can cause, somehow things eventually just worked out for me, hope they do for you soon. So sorry about your mc, but the fact you did manage to conceive this year is a positive thing as at least things are still working. I agree with the others though don't hang around and push your doctor to refer you now to see a fertility consultant.
