when my 6year old was born I had doberman,border collies and labradors.I had no problems with any but in my opinion labradors were designed with children in mind.I have a 5 year old and a 1 year old lab my daughter has friends over regularly and i have friends with babies who visit and never have problems.ive worked in kennels and a vets and could count the not so even tempered labs ive met on one hand.Id go for labs everytime but then i am biased...

ive got a female Border collie
i had a few breeds in mind. collie, staffie, rottie and cavalier king charles.
i ruled rottie out as i know i dont have enough knowledge to have one.
Staffie i ruled out because i wanted something a little bigger.
and cavaliers i ruled out as they didnt have quite enough umph for me.
so collie it was.
i gotta run, but will write more later
