Do you have a degree? If so what in?...

Two, BSc in Gegraphy and MSc in River Basin Management. Now a Hydrologist.
I couldn't even get interviews with just a degree, had to get the MSc just to reach interview stage! Don't know if I'd say it was essential, a lot of it is down to experience and how you think but then my studies probably shaped the way I think in a work sense... If I'd been able to do an MSc in Hydrology it would have been essential but there's nowhere in Scotland to do it.

Ba (hons) in Theatre Studies and English Literature.

It's not a requirement for my job but a degree does look good on a CV and makes a lot of employers look twice.

I teach but in adult ed so it's not a requirement to having a teaching qual until 2010. I'm studying for some City and Guilds jobbie that'll keep me in the training industry as it's not enough for the colleges.

Only GCSE's..

For now!

Will start studying for A Levels in September :D

Not yet!! ;) lol
I want do do one in psychology but as Im going to go into nursing I guess I had better get that out of the way first! lol I can see me doing lots of different degree's through my life! None of them relevant to what field I work in! Just out of interest! :D

BA English Lang and Linguistics plus PGCE Secondary English. Yeah need it for my work - I teach English.

ive got a diploma which is one year away from a degree (had Emma in my last year of uni)its a joint honors diploma in health and social care, criminology and criminal justice

I have a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics.
I am studying for an MSc in Mathematics.

I need the first degree to be a Maths Teacher although they do say now that only 20% of Maths teachers have a Maths degree so maybe not...

I have a BSc (Hons) in Multimedia Computing.

I work as a web developer. I would not say a degree is *essential,* however it certainly helps! I also know people who did my degree who are rubbish lol...

Oh and Bee - I used to work with the guy who now works full time doing ICT for ASN for our council so if you want his details gimme a shout so you can put that in your probationer ticky boxy bits :rotfl:

If he's based in Raploch then I've spoken to him and he can't help me as he's primary based :(

I made the biggest mistake of my life leaving school at 16 and going straight to work.

Considering i left school with the best GCSE grades in my year i should've put them to some use.
I'm in deep regret and wish i had a career!

I've got an MA in English Language and Literature and nearly completed a teacher training course but quit with just a few assignments left. I was 24 at the time and didn't think I wanted to go into teaching. I now regret it as I'm a teaching but teaching without qualifications. Fortunately, there is a teaching shortage so I've managed to find a job teaching English (started at university level and now teach at secondary school).

I would love to do a degree in Psychology. It was my second choice when I registered at university all those years ago.

I have a Joint Bsc (Hon) in Psychology and Ba (Hons) in Childhood Studies. I guess I do use them in my job to an extent, certainly the Social Policy parts of it and the Psychology though it is not needed for my job as a Housing Officer.

Ive a Bsc Nursing which was a waste of time as I dont need it to work, could work as a nurse on a nursing diploma.
Will hopefully be applying to do my Midwifery degree in new year or next. :D

I have BSc (Hons) in Physiology.... and Certificate in Health Care (what I achieved after 1 year of accelerated nursing course)

Work as a Clinical Data Coordinator, so dont need the degree for the job but the knowledge does help :D

I studied law. Did LLB (Hons) and then a Masters in Criminal Justice and Human Rights. It's not related to what I do now. I'm planning to retrain and go into social work after I'm done baby-making and stay-at-home-mumming for a few years.
