I qualified in the randonmess and blondiness school for crazy people and yes its essentinal to being a wife and houseslave! :D

sorry to lower the tone! you bloody clever lot I didnt want to feel left out!

hehe, don't feel left out :D that's a difficult degree! lol. I too am studying that one, think I'm failing at the mo. LOl

BA - Journalism, but I've never held a job that requires a degree in it. Looks good on the CV for when I get freelance proofreading, though :)

Also have an A.S. in Liberal Science but that was only a 2 year degree, the BA was a 4 year - U.S. universities are different. DH has a maths degree and said it took him 3 years and he only studied maths whereas U.S. universities have undergraduate classes that study a range of different things regardless of your major. Don't know which system is best but I do know that if I'd had to study maths for 3 years straight I'd have gone berserk :rotfl: don't know how he coped.

I have a BEng(hons) in brodcast engineering, igraduated 6 years ago and I don't use it in my current job and bacuase of the type of stuff it involved half of it will be out of date now.

BA (Hons) in English Lit but I work in IT so my degree is no help!

I have a BA hons in Philosophy and a PGCE. The philosophy degree bares no relation to teaching, but I wanted to do a degree in something I was really into as I wasn't 100% sure about teaching when I was 18.

I love teaching, especially when I went into the SEN sector; but now I have taken a break to be a mum, I am considering different options. I, myself, am seriously considering doing the (EdD) Ed Psych doctorate.

I have a BA (hons) English Lit & Women's Studies. Parts of it have been very useful - the research & analysis modules in particular - and much of the women's studies involved social policy which has proved its worth in a number of instances. And I think, in general, it has given me a way of understanding and approaching issues that has been of personal benefit.

I have 2
first is in occupational therapy
2nd is nursing- child branch

had to have a degree to become an occupational therapist, however after a year of OT decided i actually wanted to be a nurse so retrained as a childrens nurse and did the degree. i could have done the diploma, you dont have to have the degree to nurse, but decided to do the degree for various reasons

in couple of years time plan to do another degree/ postgrad qualification in school nursing as i currently work as a staff nurse in school health and to be a fully qualified school nurse i need to do the specialist practitioner course

Not yet but i'm starting uni next september to do a degree in web technologies as i want to be a web designer so it will hopefully help me get a job.

Yes, I have a degree in life, and it has been a bloody hard one for my 25yrs! :)

Other than that no (although I do have litrally hundreds on City & Guilds certificates, 2 HNC's and 2 HND's)

Gah posted massive reply and my wireless connection died :wall: so I will give a short answer, I have 2 degrees and a diploma in nursing, they all come in handy and as my job is homless/housing and housing debt (reposession/secured loan etc) law I need to have a degree but not nessisarily in law but it needs to be relivant to the job.

I also have reviews, tests and accreditation of my work/knowledge to practise especially as I am a senior supervisor at work.

I'm still working on getting mine lol.
I keep taking temporary years out of uni. I'll hopefully eventually finish this damn degree and I'll have a BA in Classical Civilisation. And it will probably be of no use to me whatsoever in later life lol.

BA Hons in Business Studies and German, and an OU Diploma in Psychology.

The first one definitely got me a good job. I was planning on taking the Psychology to a higher level but then the babies came along.......

:D

Yes I have a degree in History and English Language and Literature.

They arnt essential for my job but have helped me in so far as I had to do presentations etc and its given me a good broad vocabulary which comes in handy for things like negotiations etc.

BA(hons) QTS in Primary Education and Geography, and I need it for my job as a primary school teacher.

I did Business, Economics and Law at university. I got BA Hons :)

Yes, thats why I was employed over anyone else - because of the degree, even though they may have had experiance in the industry, and I was fresh out of uni.

Yes a BA Hons in fashion, swimwear and corsetry...but i ended up being a dancer :?

Yep, BSc (hons) in Building Surveying, & I do need it for my job (Building Surveyor).

One of the most boring degrees in history! Though about going on to do a BSc(hons) in Fire engineering, but after spending 6yrs studying Building surveying I just couldn't face it

I always wanted to study psychology :( & be a criminal psychologist…. But parents wouldn’t have any of it

i return to uni in september to finish my BA (hons) Social Work, only have 15 months left to do. will need this when i begin working.

i also have a HNC in childcare and education that qualifies me as a nursery nurse (never used it though!)
