Dirty looks from other pregnant women??

What is the whole thing about the bump size anyway, I wouldnt mind having a smaller bump - means its easier to carry around!

You are spot on - plus it must surely mean less stretchies

:)

I've never had any negative comments or looks anywhere from anyone..... so really cannot understand - total opposite in fact and we travelled heaps when I was pregnant with No#1 - UK, Ireland, France, Hong Kong and NZ - all we ever got were big smiles and lovely comments..so I find this really puzzling.

I think any kind of derogatory comment made to a pregnant woman just smacks of immaturity and ignorance... I honestly don't see how jealousy or "bump envy" could come into it or what anyone could get out of making a derogatory comment.

Maybe I'll just count myself lucky:)

I dont know if it makes a difference but I normally get smiles from middle age/older women the times its happened to me its been younger women. The woman in Mc'ds i'd say she was in her early 20's (im 27) and the other one walking by was around the same age. I'm kinda used to getting bad looks off other females, i have long blonde hair and I dont think other females like it.

I did get couple at the hospital while waiting for scans - there was a girl with her mum waiting and I swear, if you could kill with a look, I would have been dead. I always smile at people in general(unless I am in a really bad mood)

I reckon she was jealous cos u were probably dressed lovely and looked like a yummy mummy :)

Awww thats sweet. Unfortunately I wasn't, I was dressed like a scruff, while running about after two 7 year olds. Maybe she wanted to be the only preggers person in mcdonalds (like little britain, only gay in the village) loool

Lol I seem to get dirty looks off everyone regardless of whether theyre pregnant, I just stare back and smile - it really winds em up!! It was hilarious the other week, me and OH were shopping and we were stood in the que to pay and no kidding the lady in front turned round and keep looking at me - shooting me proper filthy looks!! I just said to OH really loud "God I think it is such bad manners and disrespectful to just stare at people. So bloody rude. I don't know why people just don't say things to your face if they a problem" - needless to say she didnt look happy lol.

i cant believe the cheek of some people. All I can put it down to is jelousy, i cant think of any other reason why ppl would give us bad looks, esp if you've not done anything wrong

grrrrr

I'm pretty chilled in general but that is the one thing which really really irritates me, it's such a rude thing to do grr lol

I haven't had anything negative from other people at all . Just lots of smiles and questions about when the baby is due etc.

I tend to smile at other pregnant women as well, it's like a little secret club lol!
