I've been on a low carb diet for 18 months now as I had to get my weight down in order to conceive. I'm now down to a 'normal BMI' although still a bit big for my liking. I know that the weight loss (9 stone) has helped my cycles and I hope my fertility but I'm wondering if the diet is now working against me in terms of fertility. We've been TTC for about 2 years.
Has anyone got pregnant on a Paleo or low carb diet? Do you think dieting can interfere with fertility? My periods are still lighter than normal, which I heard is common while losing weight. from my temping and charts it looks like I am ovulating but just not getting pregnant.
I would like to lose another stone, but that could take a few months and I'm 42 in November, so I am wondering whether to err on the side of a bit more weight loss to help fertility or coming off the diet to help fertility! Would appreciate any ideas! Thanks.
