I have heard stories from friends whose babies needed a bit of ressucitation straight after the birth. one of them didn't breathe properly and didn't cry for 10 minutes. it's scary...
i don't want to think negatively and i believe my child will be fine but what are your experiences?

Well...Jonah didn't cry. But he was small and early and taken away quick. He can make up for it now though, if he's not getting his own way

Chloe was perfectly fine but didnt cry, think she was too tired from the birth lol, she only started to cry when the midwife gave her the vit k injection, bless her :)

Number one came out screaming (and has continued ever since  )

Numbers two and three didn't cry at all, just made some snuffling noises, sooooooo cute!

:D

Number 1 came out crying and weeing all over my belly
Number 2 came out crying and weeing all over my belly as well!

He could have come out tapdancing with tophat and cane but I was so high I doubt I'd have noticed or remembered

But OH tells me he did :D

Number 1 came out crying and was placed straight onto me
Number 2 didn't cry nor breathe immediately and had to be taken away for a few minutes before being placed onto me.

no mine didnt cry till they cut the cord then she cryed :)

shed swallowed loads of cononium also but was fine didnt nothing :)

Isla didnt cry but was perfectly fine and healthy, think she was just so tired like mummy. I remember being so scared my baby wouldnt cry and i'd panic, but in reality i didnt even notice as i was so tired i was hallucinating and didnt know what was going on. :rotfl:

LOL i must be lucky as she very rarely cries now either. :cheer:

Glenn cried straight away, he came out, took a big breath then started crying, i think it was due to him being so cold cos i cant remember the others being like that.

my little girl let out a little cry, omg that bit was SO surreal! all the hard work and pain was over, and i was so confused and drunk on my natural painkillers i'd momentarily forgotten what was happening, i heard this baby cry and thought "wtf? omg that just came out of me!" lol
then she was quiet and wide-eyed when she was placed on my chest. then she wee'd on me! :rotfl:
she scored 10 on apgar score :D

Austin cried. I picked him up and he stopped crying straight away, it was incredible.

Jordan didnt cry, he just opened his eyes then went back to sleep (as if to say you disterbed me mum lol)

I had a pretty chilled out water birth... I can't remember whether he cried or not as I was just completely shocked and looking at him and hugging him and stuff, but Nat says he did. There were certainly no problems or anything to worry about at the time, so he must have cried.

thats just what D did they had to mop my tummy about 3 times..think he was saving it up

Isaac didn't cry, he was very quiet, but then he had just been pulled out with forceps, he really didn't want to leave my uterus, think he was a bit shaken :(

Tia was born with an apgar score of 1. She was blue and not breathing. She was taken away and resuscitated... It must have only taken them a few moments to get her breathing, but my gods... did it feel like forever... But even when they got her breathing again, she never cried... she just grumbled (story of her life  )... gave me the look of "What did you go and let them do that to me for?"... then grumbled some more. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

They took her off to the scbu to check she was ok, because she had passed meconium, but she was fine... just grumbled a lot about the whole thing...
