Silly questions really but as a first itme mum thought I would ask......

before you sent into labour did you get a 6th sense that things were about on the move ??

I have had some strong braxton hicks the last couple of days but apart from that and feeling like I am waddling everywhere with a rugby ball between my legs, and of course feeling tired ....... I feel absolutely tickety boo........... :D :D :D

I am not sure that I have even understood that my baby could decide to appear any minute........ life is carrying on as normal and I am out and about all the time.. I have even planned a trip to London next week until someone today mentioned that perhaps that was not the best idea .........

I just keep thinking that I will somehow 'know' that things would happen in the next 24/48 hours and adjust myself accordingly.....

but is this really the case or was it just a case of things starting at any point without any advance warning ?????

sorry post has got longer and longer - but any advice would be apprecaited

I knew I was nowhere near! I was induced though.......

They say your body clears out before labour so a dodgy tum and the runs are a good indicator a day or so before.

Hope you're not waiting too long xxxx

I didn't have a clue with any of them. I was all set to be induced and go a full 2 weeks over with Nathan when my waters broke. With Jess i still didn't realise when i had been in labour for hours.

With baby No.1 it was a wierd feeling the day before. I didn't know it at the time, but looking back I realised I'd had the 'sense'. I just had this incredible urge to DO NOTHING all day. I sat on our balcony reading magazines and sipping tea, very unusual for me! It was like I was deliberately conserving engery. just didn't realise it. I'd been having strong BH for a couple of days, but they died down to nothing on the day before she came. It was almost like the calm before the storm.
That night I went to bed at 8.30pm and managed to get a good four hours before I woke up for no apparent reason, I sat up and whammo, my waters broke! That was it!

Unforuntately I got no clues with number two, as I'd been on bedrest with contractions from 27 weeks and had a zillion false alarms! It's been like that this time as well

Rest up as much as you can. I hope it happens soon for you! :cheer:

I kept thinking it was going to happen all of the time and I ended up being induced at 12 days over so it could just be wishful thinking. I hope it happens for you soon though.

I felt like it would never ever happen, and I was right...I was induced after 12 days overdue..after a 2 day induction I had a c section and they said baby was in no rush to be born, I never got past 3cm dilated

I knew from early in pg that baby would be early. I kept saying it and he was 3 weeks early. I think i prepared myself mentally the evening before he was born. I spent time with my baby nephew and went for a walk with dog that night. I felt ready for my baby to come. When i returned home i had pulling pains in my lower tum. I gave birth early the next morning!

i knew Jamie would b late, until i had my show i was quite relaxed then i went into sheer panic lol!!
