Delivering placenta - natural or injection?

I opted for the injection - I was exhausted after 3 days without sleep, and absolutely famished! They wouldn't let me eat once they realised I was in labour due to being prem, and I was so hungry

No! I had been in hospital for 3 days living off hospital food when I was confirmed in established labour.

I hadn't slept a wink in that time, and had been contracting for two days before they'd take me on!

First thing I asked when I went into delivery suite was for food as my stomach was growling - and they said no incase I needed a section!
