******December Mummies 2018******

Rach people keep saying to me it's a girl as I'm being sick haha'
Strange what our bodies do to us.. I'm feeling human again today just
Really tired!

Lol I think they say its a boy as I have a girl and had no sickness with her. Glad u r feeling more human today, think u r quite a bit on than us so that gives me hope it will get better soon x

Don't worry bunny it kind of made me giggle too as it's a very male industry that I work in and it was funny lol. Glad we all feel the same about moaning tho it's nice to no u r not alone. I doubt I have hg as I haven't actually been sick but I end up heaving so bad and not able to move when I eat anything so I don't really no what u would call it. Sorry the acupuncture didn't work as well as last time, I have seen people say travel sickness bands r good altho don't no if they would work for something as serious as hg. I have no choice but to go to work as we don't get sick pay and I have a holiday in 6 weeks to fund lol. If we were paid for it I wouldn't be going atm x

It's good to keep a sense of humour during these moments. Even if it's not hg any amount of sickness or nausea is horrid. I had two pregnancies that I just had rotten MS, not to the degree of HG. Although I'd give anything to be like that now I admit it was still pretty horrid especially seeing as I had to carry on doing day to day stuff like looking after 2 toddlers.

I think the acupuncture has kicked in a little more now this evening. I am still lying down but I don't actually feel awful and I kept the food down.

I tried the travel bands in my first pregnancy and found they helped a little but were too tight for my wrists. Now I have an electronic one that gives a little shock to my wrist. I have been wearing it the whole time. It doesn't have a dramatic difference but seems to help a little. I have noticed when I throw up it is usually when the band has slipped and I didn't notice.

Hi everyone. I hope I'm welcome to join.

I am unexpectedly pregnant with our 6th baby! Considered a termination but my heart wasn't in it.

I don't know my due date yet. LMP was 16th March but my cycles can be 35 days sometimes. Did a digi in the afternoon last Friday and it said 2-3.

Welcome!

This will be our 4th and also a surprise. Our oldest is 4 almost 5. I was so sick in my last pregnancy we had decided against any more but life had other ideas, lol. I am pleased to have another but already in bed with the sickness and trying not to think too much about how I will get through the next 7 weeks or so.

Oh I feel for you. I had HG with my 1st, lost so much weight I was 6.5 stone, hospitalised several times. It was a miserable time! It's so hard to cope.
I've been quite sick with all of mine. I'm nauseous this time but haven't vomited yet.
Yours must be quite close in age then? My eldest is 17! Then we have 15, 12, 9 and 4.

Hi all,
Just need to vent if you don't mind!
My partner called his sister earlier to tell her the news and when she answered he asked if she was alone and she said yes. She has four small children and at some point in the conversation one of the children heard and immediately told their siblings. I feel like she could have been more subtle on the phone. Just feel bummed, it will be so horrible if something goes wrong and then we see the kids and they ask questions or make comments.
:-(

Welcome to the group and congratulations on number 6!!

Evening Ladies, we went for our 8 week early scan today- everything as it should be at the moment & saw its little heartbeat! Was amazing! How a little 8mm thing can have a heartbeat i'll never know! We were dated a couple of days shorter, so now we're 6+6, due on 21st Dec!

Very happy and keeping fingers crossed everything stays as it should. On holiday for a few days from Sat for some R&R!

Really hope the morning sickness lays off soon for those of you who are struggling with it xx

That must have been really frustrating for you! I had a similar situation when my Partner told his brother and my nephew overheard and then told his little sister.. he's only 6, and I didn't really want the children to know for the same reason.. but you have to try and stay positive. Here's to a happy and healthy 9 months!

Amazing glad you got to see your little bean, have you got a pic? We were put a week behind as well.. haven't changed my tracker as got midwife appointment tomorrow so hope to get clarification. How exciting, will be near xmas!

Thanks everyone! Still getting my head around the idea of being pregnant and feeling ill all the time is a huge downer.

Have any of you gone off tea and coffee? I'm missing hot drinks and not sure what to drink instead.
I haven't drank juice for about 10 years, I always just have water or the odd cuppa but water is boring me at the moment.

Firecracker that must have been amazing! I had a scan at 10 weeks last time as they were unsure of my dates. We can't get private scans here where I live.

I am overweight so can definitely afford to loose a few pounds but this isn't exactly the recommended way of loosing them! I weighed myself yesterday and I have lost 13lbs already and I am only 6 weeks.

Our kids are 4,3, and 1. There is just under 2 year gap between each. Because I was 33 when our 1st was born we didn't want to wait around to have more. This time was a surprise though. I will be 39 when this baby is born.

That's a lot to have lost so far. Aww so they are all quite little still. I'm 35, will be 36 once this one arrives.

Hey girls, was at the doc today and they have prescribed me cyclizine for the nausea. Has anyone used it in pregnancy x

I haven't. My doctor would never allow me to take anything :( Have you been vomiting a lot or just nauseous?
I am tempted to go and ask for it this time. I have a phobia of vomit and it makes it quite difficult. I am sort of managing so far though but it's a struggle.

Just severe nausea all day and all night. Although I feel OK this afternoon so now I am panicking something is wrong. The doctor said only to take it when it is really bad, it's just to help me manage in work as it was bad this week. I would see your doctor if its bad x

I have a vomit phobia too but I really object to taking anything that isn't essential in pregnancy so I have not gone to my docs for those tablets. I wish I could have!!

I agree and probably won't get anything anyway as my doctor said they wouldn't like to say it's 100% safe. I just wish I could feel normal again. I don't get vaccinations during pregnancy either as I don't trust them.

I have cyclizine 3 times a day and I had it with my daughter too from 6 to 1 weeks and she came out absolutely perfect :) xxx
