december due mamas

Congrats new Dec mummies! I hope everyone had a lovely weekend.

Has anyone got any holidays planned? I'm going to Portugal in 3 weeks (11th May) which makes me around 9 weeks preg, i'm worried about sickness and tiredness really kicking in and the heat making me feel awful. I guess its not that hot though around 22deg in the shade. My partner and I are wondering about not going and losing our money. Would you go?

I really want a holiday but ideally in the 2nd trimester when all the sickness etc goes. It would be a nice break though, as his children are with their mum and my daughter is staying with my mum for the week.... don't know what to do, guess i have to just wait until the week before and see how i feel!?!?

Yep I'm away in May too I'll be 10 weeks hopefully. We are going to Turkey for 2 weeks. I'm very apprehensive too the thought of the travelling is the main worry especially if I'm feeling rotten. My sickness was at its height around this time last pregnancy. Also as I'm so scared about miscarriage I have all these thoughts going through my head what if I start bleeding whilst away.
My son will want to be in the pool all day so he'll have to be supervised (will def cause arguments between me and the hubby esp with my hormones) However he's just old enough for the kids club this year so I can get some naps in by sending him there.
We have to go as we are visiting family. If I am really sick I'll just camp out at my mother in laws and she'll look after me.
We normally go the end of August/September but when we organised it in January I was preggers and due August so going in May would have been ideal. After miscarriage I couldn't change holiday dates with my husband and colleagues at work had already booked over the usual time I go in August!!

If your your kid free a holiday sounds ideal even if your suffering with sickness. I would just lie on a sun lounger in the shade just stuffing yourself with all the crap you crave.

Xxx

Exactly, feeling rotten stuck on a plane or in a hot apartment room. Yes same here and tiredness was at its peak, i was bed ridden most of the time. Sorry to hear that, you must be very worried. I was about 6-7 weeks when i mc last pregnancy 3 years ago. Im really not trying to think about that though.
Yeah least it should be stress free, i cant eat a lot of things at the moment dairy, gluten etc, but chicken fresh fish, rice and veggies i can stuff my face with and pretty much only water (fun) hehe x

I just came back from New York, thankfully the morning sickness didn't kick in until after I got home but I think you'll be ok

We're not going away this year. We want to wait until my little girl is older. We've booked to go to a haven park in Cornwall. I was looking forward to it but now I've got a 6 hour drive (at least!) needing the toilet or wanting to be sick lol I will be 15/16 weeks so I'm hoping the sickness has gone.

I'm also not looking forward to wearing a swim suit. I had a tiny bump with my daughter and at 16 weeks I was just at that awkward fat looking stage. So I know I won't be comfy taking her swimming. But it has to be done.

Anyway how is everyone doing??

My travel sickness had started again. It happened with my daughter. The minute I get into the car I feel awful! Other than that I only get waves of sickness.

My back is sore. And I've noticed that it's the side of my boobs that are really sore, near my armpits.

I have my scan on Friday.. Counting down the days :) xx

We had planned to go to Spain at the end of September, we got married there and go almost every year, I'm thinking next year I might plan to go over Easter holidays and have baby baptised there they will be 4 months old, we took my son to Spain when he was 4 months had a lovely time. We have too many other things going on and a wedding in October now to keep me occupied

I've little bouts of sickness so far but been ok last couple of days. I know next week it will full on kick in. I cant stand the heightened sense of smell.. eugh.. i remember it was awful with my daughter. Gosh i wouldn't want to be doing a 6 hour drive.
I am going to the Isle of White Festival when im 12 weeks too but on a coach/ferry, that's going to be a long journey! I hope they have a loo on board! I don't think i would have booked either had i known i would be preg, im not looking forward to the huge queue to get into the festival with my daughter.

Have you all been booked or had your first midwife appointment? Mine rang today for me to go to the hospital, i'm going just before my holiday at around 8.5 weeks. I read it can take an hour?!? My first with my daughter was only 15mins or something.

Filled out the the form two weeks ago but I've since moved GP so waiting for them to contact me so that I can tell them I've moved and do they contact a midwife in my new area or do I do that? I could be 9 weeks by the time I see someone but I'd been hoping for an early scan due to previous miscarriages

My sickness has been really different with each pregnancy so you might get of lightly this time you never know.

I'm trying to decide if we should do an early scan this time or not. Last time baby made it past 9 weeks before the MC so I'm not sure how much an early scan will reassure us.

Oh god I felt so shit today! Literally sat in the toilet thinking I was going to be sick, water kept filling my mouth but nothing happened.
I swear I didn't get this so early with my son.

I think an early scan would be some reassurance for me as my last miscarriage was an empty sac so I'd just like to know a bean is there as well this time.

Do what's best for you though Bunny this early period is so hard I'm just wishing it away if I'm honest.

I feel for you! I hate MS. They say MS is worse with girls, maybe its a girl:).

I cant believe that I'm not getting it yet. Maybe the odd twinge of faint queaziness but nothing compared to my other pregnancies. If I weren't so shattered all the time I'd feel great.

Do you think? My sister had a girl and she said her general sicky feeling lasted until the day she gave birth! Can't be doing with that!

I don't think I ate enough breakkie if I'm honest.
I'm just craving potato waffles and cream cheese!
How far are you now Bunny?

I'm only 5+4 so plenty of time to start feeling sick, lol. Yeh studdies have actually shown that MS tends to be worse with girls. Its something to do with the balance of hormones. My MS was by far the worst with our girl but then each pregnancy it seems to be geting less severe and she was the first, so it could just be that.

I was sick right from the start when I was pregnant with my daughter. And I've already started feeling sick this time. It's awful.

I've took tonks advice and bought some sickness bands of eBay. Hopefully they will work. MS killed me off with my daughter lol

I've done another clear blue today and it's still at 3+ so I'm happy that my hcg hasn't dropped from the spotting. 2 days until my scan, eek! Xx

Great news SLB! I'd be enjoying things if it wasn't for the morning sickness I generally feel nauseated 24/7 and will be sick from about 8am until about 2-4 anything I eat doesn't stay down apart from my evening meal.
I had really bad morning sickness with my son up until about 16 weeks I think it was.
I literally don't think could do this another 9 weeks, it was hard enough the first time round but now with a 3 year old it's so much harder

Aaww Hun. If it gets too bad I would go to your GP. They can give u anti sickness.

I can imagine it's hard with a child already. I'm not looking forward to the being sick stage. Though I already feel sick. So I can't imagine it's to far away :(

I hope it passes for you soon. Good luck Hun x

God my sickness bands can't come quick enough!

Just been to Sainsburys as I'm working from home and just filled my basket up with random stuff spaghetti hoops, tomato soup, hula hoops & lemonade.

Tried to eat and its left me feeling even more nauseous.

Woop woop to the 3+ bet you just want to get it over and done with on Friday?

I hope so! I struggle to work and be sick and tired at the same time, id rather cancel my orders sometimes, even though i really need the money! I just had a large order for Aldi Mamia promotion, god it was work!

Can you ask for an early scan then?

I'm with Tonks, can't wish this first trimester away quick enough, i think we will all feel a little bit more relaxed then! (and less crappy hehe) x

Tonks I'm hoping mine come next week. I'm feeling dizzy and sick today and I just know that by next week it will be in full swing.

I hope you can find something you fancy. And I hope the bands come quickly!

I'm over the moon about the 3+ but I'm still a little nervous for the scan. FX everything is fine, but yes I can't wait to get it over and done with lol xx
