All of those names are beautiful very classy and pretty.

I think my favourite would be Mea rose. Then Rosaleen (think I would change it to Rosalie though but that's personal preference lol), then Aoife.. Only because I've seen the name a few times but I can never remember how to spell or say it. It takes me a few minutes everytime haha

But like I said they're all very beautiful

Funny how you should say that.. I've been testing names out with my daughter and making sure she can say them and likes them lol

Thank you I love ciara too but it reminds me of the American singer (pronounced see-air-a rather than keer-a)

I always loved Rosalie when I was pregnant with my son my mum hated it, I was raging I ever told her because it's sort of ruined the name for me.

Lovely names ladies.
I have loads of names on my list we will have an English sounding first name and Turkish middle name.
Girls:
Lilla, Ida, Winter, Billie, Honey & Eden & Turkish names Elif, Damla, Ceyda (Jade-a), Zehra, Eda, Ada, Umma, Miray & Deniz

Boys:
Hollis, Rex, Cole, Roman, Joseph & Turkish names Ali, Zeki, Zeyn, Kerem, Alp, Alpay, Serkay Taylan & Deniz.

I never needed these lists with my son as I had his name in my mind early on.


Today's the day for the 20 week scan, wish me luck ladies.

I don't mind at all my son keeps saying he wants a girl and boy so that makes things easy doesn't it!

Logistically it's easier for a boy but then I would be so excited for a girl too as that would be so new to us!!

Woop woop my little boy keeps saying but you told me it was a girl I did ask him again if he was happy and he said yes.

The baby's tummy was measuring the high end of normal so I've been booked in for a gestational diabetes test at 28 weeks just in case I have that!!

Feeling very relieved and I had the loveliest sonographer.

Wow thanks for the advice ladies. We've got a couple of bits and one of our friends gave us a bottle maker so hopefully that will be as good as we've been told ��
Lovely names there we've got ours picked for both boy and girl but we're not 100% on order as we've go with sentimental names and just now trying to work out which order sounds best haha.

I've got my 20 week scan on Friday. I will only be 18+6, will it matter?
My little girl has been very shy this pregnancy and is in the worst position so I'm hoping we can see her properly.

I'm sure baby and you are fine. But good look for the GTT.

We are thinking Riley-Mae for a girl and for a boy Parker Neale George or Parker George Neale cannot decide what order

I've my 20 week scan Monday can't wait to see baby again. Also got my glucose intolerance test end of August

Aww slb I'm sure baby will give you a wave ours was not playing ball at 12 week scan wouldn't sit still haha xx

Thanks ladies I said to hubby you seem so excited, not!!!!! I said we may as well not found out he was dissapointed he just didn't seem very happy or shocked!! He said "oh i knew it was boy, whats different".

I don't know if it matters but I'm 19+6 so that's only a week behind mine today.

He was being difficult I had to lay on my right side then my left as she couldn't get the heart measurements. Even looking for the gender he had his legs crossed then he put his hand there! They get there in the end LOL
Its so amazing to know his head is just under my belly button and his feet near my foo foo where I have ben feeling all the little kicks. I don't remember them ever telling me all this with my son. My son was there too when she told us the gender it was so sweet!

The sonographer put my mind at rest with downs as well and said my NT measurement was completely normal, and she pointed out some soft markers they also look out for in the 20 weeks scan which could indicate chromosome problems which all looked normal. So now I feel I can enjoy the pregnancy for now.

I better step away from the haribo hadn't I if there's any risk of GD??

Tonks my partner was a little disappointed too. He wants a boy. I'm happy with two girls though he's come round now. I just don't think he likes the idea of 3 hormonal women in a few years haha

Aaww that's good Hun. I keep having days-week where I can't feel baby. Placenta is anterior though. Then other times I can feel her kicking away.

I had to do that for my gender scan.. A little embarrassing haha I had to lift my bum up and wiggle lmao

Yes I would, just until you know. My partner type 1 diabetic (a bit different to gestational) but he shouldn't have sweet stuff etc. You don't want to risk your blood sugars rising too high.. A friend (also type 1) recently lost her little boy because of diabetes it's awful. Gestational diabetes isn't as bad though so don't worry xx

My husband is just a grump, he always knows best!! Like he knew it would be a boy, urmmmmmm. I'm like whatever. He did ring his mum all excited in Turkey today to tell her. I think he just doesn't like to show it.

Haha i do feel for your husband my dad had 3 girls and 1 boy and the girls did drive him round the bend, and the boy to be fair.

I have very quiet days as well with movement and my placenta is on the back wall. I try and wake the baby up all the time! It probably thinks oh bugger off!

Yeah Im really going to start eating healthy now there's no excuse as I'm feeling better. I think I'm just in a routine now of eating rubbish since morning sickness! I have also started eating a lot of bread which i rarely ate before!!

Another 20 weeks of waiting for the arrival of bubba and it seems so long away!! xx

That's good most men are quite happy with boys

I'm secretly hoping that my partner will want to try again now he wants a boy but has always said he will only have 2 kids. I would be happy with 10 haha I'm hoping I can persuade him in the hope it will be a boy haha

I've just got a sonoline B Doppler of Ebay for £17.99 usually £34.99. So I'm hoping that will keep my mind at ease. I'm the same poor babies lol

You can eat whatever u want really but just watch your sugar intake. Just in case. Once you know the results of the GTT you can carry on with he haribo lol well hopefully.

Think about how fast 20 weeks has come round though. Baby will be here in no time xx

Congrats Tonks beautiful! I think I'm still in the fat stage which I don't like as people just think I have been eating too many cakes!! I'm 18 plus 2 and have my 20 week scan 2nd August and I will be 20 weeks one day! Definitely getting bigger but feel horrible as normally got a flat tummy!! I know I have put on weight as I can full my legs rubbing together at the top!!! Definitely don't feel glowing!!

Hey ladies,

Well done Tonks hope your husband can get more excited! Whoever said they had bought the home scanner (I can't remember who wrote it!) - be careful as I read the other day that you shouldn't scan too much and if you can't find a heartbeat it's easy to freak out!

We've got our 20 week scan next Wednesday. Very excited for it as it doesn't feel real at the moment! I'm still throwing up though and that reminds me. Been loving this hot weather but reminds me how much I miss drinking wine on hot days ha ha. Hope everyone is good!

As anyone felt baby move yet? I'm 18weeks tomorrow and not a thing, had a bad weekend got a UTI and hospital prescribed me something that shouldn't be prescribed under 20 weeks, can't believe how they didn't realise I took one of the tablets before a read the paper tho and make me anxious with worry :/..

Yeah I've been feeling proper movements from 17 weeks but my friend didn't feel anything until after 20 weeks so I wouldn't worry.

I'm sure you'll be fine with the medication don't worry xxx

I felt a few flutters from 14 weeks. Then baby has been being difficult and only feeling her every now and then.

I've figured out why now though. I can feel baby's head/back/bum against my stomach. I think her feet must be kicking the inside of my stomach so I can't feel it. I can feel her constantly though, like a lump on my stomach. If I press her she moves.. Cruel I know! Lol
Also when I lay on my side last night I felt her drop down.
