Hi

You would think that now i am on my 17th month i would know the answer to this but....

If you get a full day of dark brown discharge that needs a tampon then the next day is when the red bloody comes.

which day is day 1?

I think its the first day you need a pad/tampon. Also first day of flow xx

i am still confused!! as i need a tampon on first day of discharge but would count the blood day as flow!

If it is brown/red/pink or shades of, it is coming from your uterus and is therefore classed as your period. The first day you get any such colour, is cycle day 1

it is class the 1st day of your period from the day you get any blood or brown discharge
