Damaged fingers

Hello!!!

Thomas sucks his hand/fingers a lot, well almost constantly and as a result his thumb and another finger are all red and some cuts are appearing( although he has no teeth yet, well i think ) By experience with my hands being in a right state because of always being in washing liquid or detergent, i know this is going to hurt him at some point. The best thing to do is to put cream on but he will put his hands in his mouth and scratch mitts won't stay on.

Any suggestions?

I'd maybe use aqueous cream when he's asleep, but not too much.

ewans were like that too from sucking his fist, i just put a moisture creme on (check no peanut oil in it) and that helped, i used a aloe vera based creme
