It's not unusual to be sent home if your in the really early stages of labour or less than 3cm dilated.

A bit of a pathetic excuse on his part though I think

God help my mum if she dares drift off while I'm going through labour! She won't hear the end of it and I'm almost certain that our Mother/Daughter relationship would be no more!

OMG how could he sleep through it?!

My Hubby couldnt sleep again after my waters broke with DS even tho i went back to sleep and he was up the rest of the night.
