Cystitis after birth

my mum was saying that after she had me, she had really bad cystitis, the worst she'd ever had.

so i was thinking if it would be wise to pack a small box of cystocalm or oasis in my hospital bag and start to take it straight after the birth to help prevent it?

idk i guess u could ask ur mw if its safe 2 take it (if ur BFing)
just make sure u drink plenty as labour is very hard work and dehydrating and so is BFing. u will probably find ur uber-super-thirsty the few days after the birth. i certainly did!

btw, i dont think i'd have noticed if i'd had cystitis- coz it bloody hurts when u pee anyway!
