Cycle length

Is a menstral cycle length the time from the 1st day of your period to the 1st day of your next one? I've never really took much notice of the legnth as I've been on th epill so just took that for 3wks then had a break during which time I had a period. And it's been 7 yrs since having my last child and have a memory like a sieve LOL

the day your period starts is your first day of each cycle ends on the day before your next period starts .

But being on the pill for so long and not having to worry about it I've just forgot a lot of the stuff to do with TTC. Think I need a refresher course
My cycle is all cocked up this month anyway because I stopped taking my pill midway through. So I had AF on the 4th of Jan, took my pill for a week and a half and then stopped taking my pill Saturday just gone and have had signs of AF today, so will have to start counting properly from tomorrow when AF starts properly.
