hi everyone

I'm new to this forum - stumbled across it a couple of months ago and here goes, this is my first post!
This is cycle 3 for us following removal of mirena and i'm already obsessing with symptoms and testing. Its great to read all of the posts here as DH can't understand why its constantly on my mind. I know i should try and chill out, but i'm 38 now and cant help but wonder if i've missed the boat already? My cycles are ranging from 26 to 31 days and i'm trying to understand charting - its very confusing!!:eh:
Anyway, any advice gratefully received and i'm enjoying reading your posts and stories.

regards clara xxx

Hey and welcome!

Its my 2nd month of trying, well first really as first month was really just getting to know when i OV and stuff like that :)

Im 36 so we are basically the same age ish so NO not to late! LOL

It must be a natural thing about obsessing about symptoms and every little thing as i think most of us on here does it!

x

Hi

Welcome to the forum, its a great place to come for advice and chat with other obsessed ladies  I think it is natural to think about it all the time. I don't think Men quite understand how much we think about it.

I am on my second cycle of trying after a miscarriage, we are doing the sperm meets egg plan (SMEP) this month. I take folic acid and evening primrose oil (to increase ferile mucus) and OH is take pre-conception vits too.

I dont think you have missed the boat at all, I am sure you will get your little one soon :)

How are you charting? are you doing temps or OPK's? xx

Hi Pinkclara, welcome to the forum. im at the end of my 3rd cycle.
you are in good company on here as we all love to symptom spot and pee on sticks lol

if you dont mind me asking, in what ways are you ttc? e.g. what do you do once you have finished sex etc, are you using opk's (ovulation prediction kits)...are you charting your temperature? sorry for all the questions just makes giving advice easier xxxx

lol lisey we must have posted at same time xx

hi girls
thanks for the fast response!
tried opks, last month - but when i got the darker (hope it was positive) one DH was away with work for whole week !!!!!!! typical
don't know where to start with temps - looked at setting up a chart, but need to purchase the proper thermometer; where can i buy?

Anyway, after using a whole supply of opks last month, i havent bought anymore, just tried lots of BDing (is this the right abbreviation?) sorry just getting used to it x lol

clara

i bought my thermometer in superdrug hun, temperature charting is good so you can see when ur temp rises as that can be a sign of ovulating....another sign is EWCM (egg white cervical mucus)

if you do your temps though, you do it in the morningand night, the one in the morning you have to do when you wake up and havent moved/got out of bed yet so i keep my chart and thermoeter on bedside cabinet so i dont forget xxx

I'd get yourself to the doctor Clara :)

You just want all the basic hormone tests doing, rubella, STI and an Antral Follicle Count just because of your age mainly.

Its just that if anything is wrong, you need to know now as you don't really have long to fix something.

you're right Louise - will book dr appointment x

thanks Bellerina - will head to superdrug tom and purchase! x

there is some really good free charting software online. try "tcoyf" or "fertility friend". much easier than charting manually and the software will predict and confirm ov for you. good luck.

I loved finding this site I have only posted a few things, but its so nice to know and talk to people in the same boat as it is so hard to talk to family and friends as you want to keep it a bit of a secret for a while :)
