Might be a bit of an odd question but are currys and poppadoms etc ok to eat when pregnant?

Surely if they can send you into labour when you are heavily pregnant it can affect you when your not so heavily pregnant?
Although i have heard of people who get the cravings for curry.

Also linking hot food to my last miscarriage as i was eating hot food the night before.

Sorry if it is a really silly question but i quite fancy curry for my tea.

No hunny it won't cause anything to happen, it's one of those wives tales, but only works if your 'ready' to give birth. I think it's for the effect of 'clearing out' your back passage which some women do before/during labour, which can help. I could be wrong though.

Mmmm I fancy curry now, think I'll have curry sauce and chips though :)
I used to hate curry till I had Damien, since having the boy cravings I like it :)

Enjoy your curry! :D

I've just had a curry and reading this has got me worrying

Im sure its fine, hope you enjoyed it (or enjoy it if you havent had it yet!) :D

Sorry i didnt mean to worry anyone :?

I just had my curry and it was very good :)

Thanks for your advice Sami

Hun, i lived on curry with Charlie....i craved sugar and spice :D
I wanted curry very hot and also sweet.....yep i had a girl!!!!!!!

Well what do Indian people eat all the time. They seem to have lot's of kiddies..

I love curry and want it even more while pregnant. Somebody I know wouldn't eat a curry i made becasue she was breast feeding. "It will go straight to him". The bitch was just jealous of my relationship with the father of her child... :D

it was in Pregnancy and Birth magazine this month that there is no evidence that curry brings on labour so wouldn't worry...I would love a curry but can't risk it till i stop pucking :puke:

Don't worry girls i had a very hot curry last night and i am still here  ,i craved them early on in this pregnancy too and was eating it at least once a week, like sami said it has more to do with clearing out the back passage :D xx
