Crown rump length at about 6-7 weeks

After my scan on sat I’ve resigned myself to the fact it might be over based mainly on the fact I was measuring so far behind. I thought I was 7+3 (could be a few days less but no more than 2/3) And she measured me at 6+1 but said my CRL was 4.5mm. I’ve been googling this and lots of people seem to measure smaller than that at 6+1 so I’m just looking for comparisons.

Could be absolutely clutching at straws but trying to figure out if maybe the gap isn’t so big after all x

I've had a few early scans 1st at 7wks and measured 10mm, 2nd pregnancy at 6+4wks was 8mm and then my 3rd pregnancy 4mm at 6wks. Although I posted on of that the measurements varied from 2.9mm and 4.7mm when the guy scanned me. So that is so such a big difference xx

yeah they were from all my 3 successful pregnancies, I had a mmc as my 1st but only a yolk sac was seen at 11 weeks. I also had bleeding in all of my pregnancies so I was petrified of miscarrying. Once it has happened before, it is so hard to feel anything positive.

Been reading the 1st trimester june 2016 thread from when I was due and another lady only measured 1mm and was told 6 weeks and another was 2mm for 6 weeks, so think it varies so much. Have you got a follow up scan? I really am praying everything is all ok with your little bean xx

Thank you so much. Yes I’ve got a follow up booked for next Tuesday. I don’t know whether to be hopeful or not. I also don’t know if the measurements were off as she said I have a retroverted uterus. She could see absolutely nothing abdominally and even TVS wasn’t that simple. She had to really push and it was really painful. Don’t know what to think x

I can understand it must be so difficult to know whether or not to be hopeful or not, I hope the week flies by. The lady who measured 1mm at 6 weeks had a tilted uterus and by her next scan everything had caught up. Apparently a tilted uterus usually rights itself by 12 weeks so hopefully by your next scan things will be easier to see as well xx

Thank you. I guess there’s nothing I can do but wait and see. I’ve had no more bleeding and it was only a small amount when I did. I don’t want to get my hopes up to be dashed again so I’ll ptobably just continue to assume the worst..will update when I know x

My baby's CRL at 7+3 was 12mm. I have a tilted uterus too so she had to do an internal scan to measure it. I'll keep my fingers crossed that you've just got a slow grower. If it had a heartbeat then it is possible it'll catch up. In my due date group we had two people who were measuring a week behind and knew they couldn't be. One miscarried and the other caught up, so it really could go either way. Good luck. I hope all is well x
