Moses basket is the smallest and least longest lasting, babies normally grow out of it after a month or two.
Cribs are slightly bigger but babies tend to outgrow them by 5 of 6 months.
Cots can in theory be used from birth but they tend to be too big for newborns s that is why people use a moses basket or crib for a while. A cot will last until bub is about 18 months.
Cotbeds are exactly like cots but turn into a bed once bub is 18 months or older and will last until they are 3 or 4.
I have so far gotten a big travel cot that rasises and lowers for my room whilst the baby is small this is because as nat says - moses baskets are small and dont last long, every single person has told me not to get a moses basket so the travel cot i got was a graco one and it has a mobile and hood attached.
I will be getting a cot bed for the nursey as this would last the longest too..
or you could buy a moses basket with no stand and put it inside ur cot? at least then baby would be used to a cot too but get the snugness and warmth of a basket?? fully dressed moses baskets with mattresses are only like £30 i think in argos anyway so v cheap xxx
That does help thank you.
I can easily make quilted cot dividers so that's no problem and can fill other side with cuddly toys to bulk it out a bit and for warmth hehe.
