I was going to get a Moses basket with rocking stand & cot bed.....do I need a crib? So confused suggestions welcome!x

I had a crib for upstairs and a Moses basket for downstairs . Tbh next time I will be putting my LO straight into a cot as they grow out of them so quick x

We used a crib from birth as I was advised against using a Moses basket because they only last a couple of months (depending on size of baby) - I figured it would be a waste of money.

We're going for a crib then a cotbed!

So we'll have bub in a crib for as long as they fit then put the cotbed up.

Cribs can last for up to 6 months but moses baskets tend to only last for a month or two before baby outgrows them.

Hey lovely, I got a crib for our room and then a Moses basket for down stairs, I suppose it really depends on how long bubs will be in Moses and whether it outgrows it. ;-) xx

I had a crib and im pleased that I did as harrison rolled when he was about 2 weeks so wud never have been able to use a moses basket!! We used the pram for him to sleep in downstairs!!
xxx

Will a travel cot be okay for them to sleep in until there big enougth to use a full size single bed with guard rail?
Don't have room for anything else really :(

For me (having two children already) a crib will be more stable in case the kids lean on it or something :)

Oh there easy to tip over then?
Will have to get measuring the small gap we have between airing cupboard and landlords cabin bed thing then.

I think you can use a travel cot with a special mattress?? i know for overnight not sure if its suitable for every night tho BUT i dont see why not? xx

We've got a crib for upstairs and were given a moses basket so will use that downstairs for during the day xxx

I've got a cot-bed for the nursery when baby is big enough, a crib for in our room and I'm getting a moses basket for downstairs.

My travel cot is the same size as our cot.

We are using a moses basket and then when baby is too big, baby will go straight into the cot in our room.

I'm bypassing a moses basket and putting baby straight into a crib, then from that to a cot x

Mmm....I'm going to take advantage of the babies r us sale and get a Moses basket with rocking stand.

I am definitely getting a cot bed but I'm still scratching my head, have seen a really nice crib on gumtree so might get it & buy a new mattress if they're not in it long. I like the fact a crib rocks but apart from that I'm not sure?

I thought pram shopping was hard!!!xxx

I'm going for a Troll crib, it's one you can drop the side on and have it next to your bed so when I'm finished with a night feed I can scootch him back over and raise the side again without disturbing him too much.

Hopefully food coma + undisturbed = longer sleep for me :) happy days xx

I've bought a cotbed for in the nursery and been given a swinging crib for while LO is in with us. Not sure what we're gonna use for downstairs as I dont trust moses baskets to be sturdy enough with a dog wandering about. I just have an awful fear of the dog bumping into and knocking it over!

I'm getting a bednest first as our second bedroom is my OH's office (he works from home) xx

I got a big Moses basket ( size of a crib) for the living room. It's more a basinet really.
Getting a cosleeper crib for next the bed and a cot for the nursery
also a swing a playmat, a play gym and a bouncer.
I will be damned if I can't manage to get this baby to sleep in one of all those :wall:

I've got a Moses basket which I'll use next to the bed and downstairs whilst she fits in it and then we're moving straight to cot which will still be next to the bed - tempted to take a side off so can reach her easily. Have also got a swing and vibrating bouncer and playmat - so hoping she'll fall asleep in one of those things. The carrycot on my pram also has a proper mattress that she can sleep on so if we get home from a walk and she's asleep - ill leave her in it to nap.
