I feel that the jars of creamed porridge are quite heavy for a baby that has recently started weaning. What do you think?

I ask as my MIL insists that I give my DS some to keep him full up for longer. . . . . . I disagree with her. . . . I think that even the jars for 4 months old are too heavy for my son's wee tummy as we have only just begun weaning. What do you think?

I know what your saying, even at 7 months I still think the jars can be 'heavy' and kinda stodgy - the Heinz jars of porridge are a little lighter or you can try mixing up the powdered stuff. Also for just starting weening just try a few spoons of pure baby rice, it's what I started my LO off on as it's quite light and very basic/simple.

ETA: There not Heinz jars, they are small tins about 34p so cheaper than the jars too!! :D
