Hi everyone, first pregnancy here and I have no idea what to expect!!

I think I'm 3+5 weeks, judging by my last AF and online calculators etc. I have doctors appointment today.

I'm just worried about the cramping I'm getting, feels like my period is going to start, but obviously.. nothing. I don't know what's normal and what's not. Is this normal?? xx

Don't worry Hun I know easier said than done, I cramped soooo bad at beginning of my pregnancy it was that bad it had me bent over in tears and paracetamol didn't help I was sooo worried I went to my epau, they did bloods and scanned me to keep checking every thing was ok but I think they did that to ease me as they knew I was panicking they told me cramps are very normal especially when you would expect your period, if you are really worried though contact your epau as no one knows just what your cramps feel like except you xx just seen your at doctors today - mention it to them Hun let us know how you get on xx

Thank you! I'm such a worrier in general lol, I know I need to calm down and relax as worrying doesn't help anything. Yeah I will mention the cramps today, they're making me feel a bit sick. But don't know if I'm just feeling sick anyway xx

I am so stalking you JR...totally stalking you :hugs:

PS. Same as Holli said, cramping is normal as long as it doesn't go along with bright red blood you should be A-OK

Kat I need you to join me over here!!! lol xx

I had. Ramping to before I knew I was pregnant..

I was expecting to be pregnant. The cramps felt like my p was coming and I kept getting hot flushes to.

Keep us posted x

The cramping is worse today. Keep thinking I'm going to see blood but there's none.

Doctor yesterday said it's normal. But these are worse than period pains, is that normal? I don't know. ahhhh

If the pain is unbearable, like doubling over, contact your gp again Hun, or your midwife if you have one. I had some very sharp cramps and like you was expecting to see blood on quite a few occasions but had nothing. They said to take paracetamol and keep busy. X

Thank you, it's not doubling over. It feels like when I had my laparoscopy so I'm starting to think maybe it's trapped wind. Got the peppermint tea out now x

This was me yesterday!! I panicked so much until I realised what it was

Okay I just CANT handle this cramping anymore. It's not constant, it's very on and off, but when it's on it's worse than period pains, makes me hot and sweaty and makes me feel sick. I don't know what to do!!

Seen a doctor twice about this and first time told it's normal. Second time told probably a miscarriage and to just wait for bleeding. It's been 4 days since I last saw GP about this. No bleeding and still the on and off pain.

I'm sure this is just normal, or maybe I'm just having more pain than I expected. Everywhere says "mild cramps" but this is definitely not mild. I can handle period pains, but this pain has me doubling over sometimes, crying. I don't know what's causing it and what I should be doing. I don't feel like the doctors are listening to me!

I'm just so worried and in so much pain :(

I thought you had to have GP referral to go there? x

Nope just turn up. My local hospital will take walk ins first thing in the mornings x

Hi JemRose. sorry to hear you’re still having a tough time. Regarding the early pregnancy unit I think some areas are different. My one does not do drop ins....you HAVE to have a gp or consultant referral. Hope you get some positive answers soon and keep us all posted. Good sign that you’re not bleeding xxxxxx

Hi all

I am getting similar pains daily... since I realised I was preggie.

The sharp pains last around a minute. Or two at a time.

Ii told my gp were referred me to EGU, for a scan.

I gave mentioned it twice to my gp and also to EGU. Both didn't seem concerned and advised me not to worry... but didn't suggest a cause h

JemRose hoping you're doing okay, didn't realise you'd been online about your cramps again. You're really having a tough time of it. If they're still that bad and you can't shake the worry phone nhs and see if they'll see you. Or your epu good luck hun xx

I had quite a bit of cramping at around weeks 5-6 of my pregnancy along with backache. As I didn't have any bleeding I didn't ring anyone and put it down to my uterus growing and the changes that were happening inside. I'm
Now 13+4 and had a lovely scan last week and saw baby was fine. Started cramping yesterday and again put it down to making room for my ever growing baby!
As shanivy said who if u can't shake the worry then ring your GP. Put ur foot down and say u need some reassurance to get u referred to EPU. Hope all goes well ladies

Thank you, I don't really know what to do as don't want to waste the time of doctors etc, but when the pain gets bad it's almost unbearable! thank you for all your advice, I think if I was going to bleed I would have by now?

Maybe it is just simple stretching of the uterus, but hard to keep a level head when the cramps are really bad and I just panic! x
