Last night Evie woke me up by practising her new trick (rolling onto her belly and then right over onto her back again! :cheer: ) in her cot and clashing into the bars. She didn't seem to fussed by it but I don't want her black and blue!

I know that cot bumpers aren't recommended for little babies but when is it 'safe' to use them? Or is it just a lesser of two evils!?

I used them right from the beginning.

I put the cot bumper on and tied it tight near to the bottom of the cot base as possible THEN put the materess down so Arianna couldnt lift the bumper under up without lifting the matress.

I had to use one as Arianna was the same and would be black and blue with rolling about.

Cally has had them in her crib from birth but she spends most of her bedtime in bed with me so its pretty pointless. Just make sure the straps are tied firmly on (as am sure you would anyway)
