I had no idea there was so much option on mattress types! Differing advice everywhere as per the norm so wondering if anyone has any actual experience and preferences.

Thanks

I can't actually remember which brand I bought for my DD now but I got one from Argos and I just made sure it was a good quality pocket sprung mattress. It cost me about £40 I think and it's like new 16 months later. My toddler has slept through since 2 months old so at least I know she's comfortable on it. I know the mamas and papas ones are expensive and some other brands too, I didn't see the need personally!

We got a ‘twist’ mattress from the little green sheep company. It grows with them (you flip it when they get to a certain age as the firmness differs). It lasts from 0-5, is made of all natural materials and has a 5 year guarantee. Our lb is 3 now and it’s still in perfect condition and he’s always slept great on it x

my only advice is dont get a really cheap memory foam one off ebay because they stink like chemicals!!!

After researching a lot I chose Little Green Sheep mattress. It's all natural: coconut and wool. Very nice. Firm but not too firm. Apparently mattress is very important.
This was on offer for £119. Usually they are £150. Worth it.

Thanks ladies , really appreciate the guidance x
