Hi

Was wondering if someone who has had there baby can help. As you all know I have been in and out of hospital with contractions and this time I came home on medication to stop them. I have been getting strong painful contractions today getting more regular but they seem worse when I stand up and also I feel more pressure pushing down. She is still breech but was wondering if this pressure could mean something. I had an emergency c section after labour last time but cant remeber much???

Also I havent been sleeping at all and really cannot get comfortable.

Thanks

hey hun have u rang the hospital wen i felt pressure like ur discribing i was ready to push but i had a very quick labour

No not yet. Want to stay at home as long as possible. Contractions are painful but not unbearable at the minute. Going to have a bath and some codiene tablets and see if that helps. Just I think it may be happening as I never had the pressure before, was only contracting and my cervix was doing nothing. Thanks for your reply.

is codiene safe to take at any time during pregnancy/labour/breastfeeding? I would phone the hospital and go and see them, they wont keep you in unless they need to keep an eye on you, and if the baby is still breach there could be implications that need seeing to.

Good luck and I hope it all goes well

Give your midwife or delivery ward a call as soon as you can honey. If you can't get comfortable and feel more pressure pushing down then you do need to speak to someone.

Let us know how you get on
