colic or bad wind?

my husband and i spendsaturday nite up til6am with little porscia as she was constantly crying... about every 5 mins she would go bright red and cry. then stop.wefinaly managed to get herto sleep.. she did have a massive poo around 1am....
Last nite... around 8:30pm... she wastrumping a lot so we took her upstairs to change hernappy... she kept ontrumping but) hadn't had a poo.. soi decided to massage her tummy andshe had a really big runny poo...when i was massaging her belly i noticeditwas quite firm and after her poo...it went soft again... she had another bit ofarunny poo just after 9pm...i fed her around 9:30... and she sleptthrough til1am...andno crying like the nite before...has my rubingof her belly helpedthe situation...(ido give herinfacolwith every feed) do you think shehas colic... ifso..any otherideas on how to ease her paiin....

sounds like it could be some colic.. if you get infacol you give 1 dropper full each feed..

i would try natural things 1st personally.. the massage seems to have helped ehr? i find it helps eddie.. and just boobie feeding him.. he had 3 very bad days in a row so we went to the dr and got some infacol.. it did help bring his wond up.. but we havent used it every feed just the one before bed..

Sounds like it could be colic or hopefully could just be a bout of wind due to something that you've eaten (if breastfeeding)?

Lisa I was told that Infacol isnt effective unless you use it before every feed?

I used Dentinox which helped a lot at the beginning, infacol didnt work for me x

lil miss goes through the same thing... she farts louder than papa atm... if you are bfing try drinking lots of orange juice. As well as camomile and fennel tea, either drink it yourself or make a weak solution of 50mls for the baby to drink direct. We have infacol but it doesn't really do much other than make her burps smell orangy The evening is worse...between 5pm and 12 lil miss will just scream and scream and try an poo I think its dam unfair lil ones have to go through so much pain.

i have her on infacol at themoment.... i havetried gripe water also..but thatjust made her burp evenwhennotfeeding... she has beenthe samethis morning...crying andnotsettling at all... felt herbelly again and it wasfirm so i massaged it againand it seemed to help hersettle...also tried saying shhhhhhh down her ear..that seemedtosettle her crying...
