Don't get me wrong occasionally I put u instead of you and I don't have a problem with little things like that but I swear I read some things on facebook and honestly feel as though kids speak a totally different language to what I do. rant over

My OH used to text like this to me. It nearly put me off him when I first met him. He now uses T9 on his phone so its all spelt properly and I slap his hands when he types stupidly online

I really don't think someone would be offended by us saying that txt talk is hard to read and makes us feel old!
there was a thread asking people not to type like that a while ago! plus there isnt anybody on here that types like that apart from the odd "U" OR "2" etc...

Serendipity, I would imagine the 16/17 year olds we have on the forum would be more offended at being referred to as a kid than they would me slagging off the way some people type!

i can't stand text talk use predictive text and talk properly ffs!!!

actually, the worst people for it (i find) are my MIL and my great aunt (who's in her late 80's) - they've got their very own unique special text languages and it always takes me ages to work out what they're trying to say

I used to get annoyed when my aunts and mom and their friends used to go on about kids when I wass fifteen. "Bloody youth of today" etc, cos I was never a bad kid.

My little brothers friend kept coming round with his jeans like that and every day my mum would tell him his jeans were falling down. One day she got fed up and pulled them down completely and asked if that meant he was REALLY cool now they were that low! My mums a bit blunt lol!
