My little girl cluster feeds almost constantly in the evening which means she's not going to bed until we do at 10:30/11. Sometimes she still wants more and last night I was still feeding her at midnight despite trying to put her to bed 3 times. She's only 5 weeks old so should I just be going with this cluster feeding or trying to get her to bed earlier and if so how when she won't stop feeding?!

I wouldn't worry about bedtime just yet. Mine didn't start going to bed before us until 4 months. Before then, I would go up with her at 9pm and go to sleep after her. Just make sure you have a book, drink, snacks etc for those cluster feeds. They won't be forever, so stick with it; you're doing a great job!

Perfectly normal. At 12 weeks old my lO doesn't finally settle until around 11pm. She sleeps until 5/6am so I can't complain.

Lo is just establishing your supply so don't worry x

Thanks :-) just felt like such a bad mam saying my 5 week old daughter goes to bed at nearly midnight!

My girl is 7 weeks and 12am is an early night! It's been 3am on occasions, though more usually 1am. I'm trying to slowly bring it forward bit by bit. I'm starting to make her stay awake more in the afternoon and evening and then wind it down into the double feed she does before sleeping. I take her up to bed but it takes two hours to feed, wind, change nappy, feed again, wind again then settle down.

Once she is asleep, she goes 7-8 hours straight through so can't complain too much, just need to readjust the timings a bit.

Cluster feeding is very normal at this age hunni, your milk is its best in the evening, at 5 wks old I wouldn't put your baby into a routine yet as they change so much, just follow her responsive ques and go with the flow :) enjoy her while she daddy they soon grow xx

We don't have a bed time exactly as I just feed roughly every 3-4 hours still. I consider her bedtime to be midnight as that's when she properly settles. But hoping her 8pm feed will start to become her bedtime rather than just another nap x
