Hi All,
OK.. Ive gone through lots of paperwork and looked on the internet and it appears that you are only really entitled to substantial help if you are on benefits already or a loan parent.
I am living with my partner and we are currently working full time. When the baby is born i would like to only go back part time as i want to raise my child myself and not put him/her in a nursery.
This is where the problem occurs.. if i do that then we will only just be able to pay the bills.
Do the benefits people take the salary you WILL be earning into account or do they just base everything on your salary before you were pregnant?
Im an old fashioned girl and really beleive this government should be supporting people wanting to bring up their children themselves and should be supporting families as a whole. This (in my opinion) doesnt seem to be the case. If i threw out my partner and didnt work then i'd be far better off which seems crazy!
Any help would be appreciated,
