What did you ladies wear after giving birth? I'm wondering what I'll be able to wear before fitting back into my regular clothes, do you just carry on with maternity stuff?

Have family/friends who have fitted back into their jeans in weeks and some that have taken months. I'm running out of things now and with the warmer weather coming I'm worried I'll have nothing at all but baggy saggy maternity stuff lol!

I'll buy a few things if need be but just wondered what your experiences have been :o)

I had a section so wore maternity yoga trousers for the first couple of weeks as they came high over scar. I wore maternity leggings for 6 weeks after. My maternity tops were all clingy so I could still wear those as well. I've just bought a couple of pairs of asda jeans in a bigger size as I can't quite fit into my old ones yet. Tops fit but bottoms are a bit tight yet.

I spent a lot of time in PJ's!! Lol!!

I wore my maternity trousers and normal tops.

I squeezed myself into a pair of pre-preg jeans after three weeks but to be fair they reeeeally didn't fit as I has to use the old hairbobble trick to wear them! Lol!

Leggings !! Can't go wrong lol. If only just got back into my jeans 15 weeks later lol x

A lot of pyjamas initially! I was back in jeans about 1week after but tbh I hadn't even bothered to try before then as my stitches meant I was too uncomfortable. I didn't gain much weight though during pregnancy as I was on a strict diabetes diet in the 3rd tri. I still wear my maternity yoga pants now though so they'd be a safe bet or leggings

Haha liking all the PJ's! I'll have a sort through some of my things from the start of pregnancy I think as sure I'll have some bits from smaller bump days! My legggings have about had it I've worn them so much so might have to invest in some of those. Thanks for the info! x

I mainly wear leggings and jeggings if going out. Though wore pjs majority of the time for first few weeks, I did try my jeans 10 days after the birth and the fit me x

I am wearing all my regular tops, and if my trousers still don't quite do up (about an inch between the fastenings, lol) I put a bump band in (which is a bit of elastic with buttons on to fill the gap :)

My belly muscles are now quite firm but are under a lump of flabby skin! so cannot fit in my clothes - and not sure if I will as you can't really get rid of extra skin can you?

Carried on in my maternity stuff and maxi dresses, winter called for new clothes tho. I'm still not back to my size 8's :/

I'm 9 days post and had stitches and some minor other tears and can honestly say I wore pjs and loose dresses in the house the first 5 days. I did go to tesco in jeans on day 6 but felt very irritated so resorted to my non maternity leggings and tops that go over my bum!!! Main reason is I hate wearing proper knickers and having knicker lines but needs must in these first days and weeks...

I wouldn't think you would need special purchases x

Had a c-section last Tuesday. I'm still in maternity clothes. I haven't even tried to wear normal trousers or jeans yet cause my scar is still sore and definitely don't want anything digging into it. My bump has pretty much disappeared but I'm still bigger than I was before baby so I doubt I'll fit anything but maternity on my bottom half for a while xx

I was in my maternity jeans and tops for the first week or so after my c-section, then back in normal size tops and a normal pair of trousers one size up from my pre-pregnancy ones. I can squeeze into my old trousers now, but find the bigger ones more comfy so I'm still wearing them 6 months on.

I didn't really buy any maternity clothes, just normal leggings and tops the next size up. I had some of those boob tube dresses from primark and wore those while pg and then after I had her as it was July and roasting lol. I didn't put much weight on so I was back in my clothes pretty quick thank god. I hate clothes shopping lol.
