Hi there

I started 50mg Clomid today (days 2-6) after 14 months TTC with PCOS. No scans for me but a 21 day blood test to look forward to. ... Excited but also scared in case this doesn't work. If anyone's in the same boat and would like some company over the next month - get in touch!

Just wanted to wish you lots of luck - I conceived on my second cycle of clomid after TTC for 16 months with PCOS. Really hope you get your bfp xx

Hi

There's a clomid thread further down this section, it's gone a bit quiet though recently because most ladies have got their bfp so that's good news for you! Fingers crossed it works for you, your on the right path now anyway x

Thanks Londongirl (congrats!) and Belfa (sending you good thoughts) - will try and find the clomid thread !

I've just been diagnosed with pcos..

Really hoping I can get some help with ttc now it's been a long winded road of bfns,

Good luck, hope u get ur BFP x

Thanks Jade. I'm on cycle 2 now as unfortunately I didn't ovulate with the first. Booked in for a scan on 8th May (day 14) so just hoping there's something to see! Still on 50mg - anyone know if you can still ovulate on the second cycle if they don't increase your dosage?

Good luck everyone :)

Hi lmt, just wondered how your pcos got diagnosed? Did u have extra long cycles or did it show on a scan?

Hi Vegas. I didn't have any periods for 10 months after coming off the pill (had been on it fairly consistently for 10 years) so they started testing all my hormones (blood tests etc). Think these all came back normal so they then sent me for an ultrasound which showed my ovaries were polycystic. I have had pretty much regular period since then, but by then I was in the system and trying to conceive, which is when they started me on clomid.

Had my ultrasound this week (day 14) and had a follicle at 26mm and lining of 7.9. I think this is good? Had a positive OPK on same day.

Me and hubby were together on day 13 and 14 - what do you think our chances are? The hospital are so low on explanation. No wonder there are so many forums!

I would say your in with a good chance by covering them days. I've been told I have a cyst on my right ovary but it won't effect my fertility ( dunno if I believe them) been ttc 17 months. I'm in tww now so fingers crossed for us both. U got any symptoms? I'm going for 21 day bloods on Monday to see if I ovulate.

Good luck Vegas! No symptoms yet. Off on holiday next week so hopefully that will make my 2ww go quicker. Hoping for a speedy and successful one for you x

Hey, I have been prescribed clomid today days 2-6 like you.

I have to wait for af but hopefully as I've been taking metformin that will arrive on time in about 3 weeks!

Excited!

Hi ladies

So the plot thickens for me... I'm on second cycle of 50mg of clomid and suspect (see earlier post) I ovulated on day 14.

Boobs swollen and heavy for about 4 days but now seem ok.

Day 25 got diarrhoea, felt very tired and had a dizzy/hot flush episode on plane home from hols. Today (day 26) I have had cramps and then some bleeding. Started dark brown then pink/red but quite light. Crampy feeling continued. My last cycle was 32 days so this seems too early for my period, but since I have pcos not sure if this is reliable!

My dilemma is could this be implantation bleeding or is it my period? I should take clomid on day 2 of bleeding so if it continues tomorrow I guess I should take it, but I'm worried I could be pregnant and the clomid will be dangerous? Help!

Have you tested at all hon? My first cycle of clomid I got 2-3 days of spotting / vv light bleeding before AF properly arrived and didn't count it as cd 1 until it was full red flow (sorry if tmi). Fx yours is implantation xx

Hi Londongirl
Tested this morning with Early Response but negative. Admit that a tiny part of me thought this was my month, very disappointed. Wonder if it was implantation bleeding whether it would be too early to test anyway (false optimism?!) Have much worse cramps than normal but flow is nowhere near as heavy. Thinking I might miss this cycle with clomid and start again month after just in case. Never knew thought this would be so hard!

Just wanted to update .... The third cycle of Clomid was a success! I'm now 29 weeks pregnant! Thanks for all the amazing support and I'm wishing everyone the best of luck. Will forever feel incredibly lucky and grateful that we got there, as know that so many aren't as fortunate xx

Great news :)

Clomid will be our next step in the spring so hope we are successful too!
