Clomid buddy needed or just advice?

Hi ladies!

So, I’ve just taken a long year out of TTC after 10 years ttc and no luck ��

My doctor has offered my IVF which I put off by requesting to try 3 rounds of Clomid first. So this cycle I start.

5 years ago I tried 50mg Clomid cd 3-7 I ovulated but no bfp

This time round I’m on 100mg cd 2-6 and with metformin 1000mg for past 6 weeks already

So today is CD 7. I felt nothing.... (is this normal?) whilst taking the pills I feel horrible I felt sick and constantly hungry and thirsty.. Now the only problem I have is gas and lots of it!! Lol sorry tmi!

Anyway I guess I’m expecting to feel O cramps or something even tho it maybe slightly early... I have a 26 day cycle usually so will O this weekend usually.... which is very lucky since hubby is working away for a week from Monday evening till Friday!!!

Is anyone else around the same cd as me and on Clomid?? �� I really need someone to keep me Sain!

I have a scan on CD12 and possibly the trigger shot? Which will be pointless with no hubby next week.... ��


Any happy endings with Clomid to keep me going will be much appreciated xxx

Hi Kay, I have replied to your other message as well but I'm pretty much on the same cycle day as you on my first round of clomid taken days 2-6. Apart from being boiling day and night for the past two days I've had no side effects either! Its almost as if I've taken nothing! Later on in the months if I get o pains or a cyst, I'll probably be wondering why I was worried about not having side effects! Good luck x

It’s worrying isn’t it!
I’ve heard you ovulate 5-9 days after taking the last pill. I’m hoping for earlier rather than later. Fingers crossed this is our lucky month!!! Keep me updated xx

I took clomid days 2-6 for 4 cycles and 3-7 for 3 cycles (depending on how late in the day af arrived), I didn't ovulate on any until cd18-24 so don't panic if it happens later than you expect.

I’m now cd 12 with a stitch feeling on left side... (started a few days ago)

Hubby is working away this week so all weekend we dtd. Hopefully I o today or I don’t think it will work this month for me, as no hubby = no baby ��

I don’t use o tests as I become very obsessed in the past, and ended up more stressed. Fingers crossed!!!

Is it your scan today Kay? I haven't got any scans, so hoping temps and opk are going to show something. Nothing so far although I have had a bit of what I think is ewcm yesterday and today. I've never had o pains so I don't know what to expect there or if I might get them with clomid. Good luck, hope you o today!

My scan was supposed to be today! But the machines were broken??? They said they can rebook for tomorrow, but I am working so can not attend! Which is a bit rubbish and means this cycle I will be unmonitored.

I have no ewcm but heard that’s common with clomid. I have had stitch like feeling all day today, but on Saturday i slipped into the lagoon and hurt my lower back quite badly so I’m not sure if the 2 are related lol don’t ask lol

My nipples are also very tender since yesterday, which NEVER happens so something is happening but not too sure what...

Have you had any signs of o at all? What is happening with the opk?

The next 2 weeks for both of us isn’t going to be the longest 2 weeks of our lives!

That's not good re the scans! Bit hopeless of the clinic!

Maybe you have o'd already if your nipples are sore?

I've had a some funny cramps today, not sure what's causing that. Have never had o pain before so not sure what to expect. My opk was much darker this morning but still not as dark as the control line - maybe I missed the surge yesterday as I did another one just now and it was lighter again. Its my first time properly using opks so struggling to interpret them at the moment!

Yes the next two weeks are going to be very long...

Cramps is a good sign! But I read that the cramps can happen before during and after o... I had severe cramps which made dtd an experience for sure!

I couldn’t figure out the opk’s either! My test line was NEVER as dark as the control line! I think that’s why I gave up on them!

As long as you’ve been dtd it don’t matter if you missed it on the OPK. If you haven’t then get started girl lol

I think I’m officially 1dpo today!
I got a call from the clinic again today and have an appointment on 16th February to be referred over to IVF clinic. I’ve only done 1 month of clomid and have 2 more month supply! Depending on how long the appointment takes I’m hoping I don’t have to do another round! The bloating has been horrific and so uncomfortable!!

Jumping in here. Desperately looking for others in the same boat. I’m on my last cycle of Clomid 150mg. Day 11 today. I’m not OPKing but I will have day 21 bloods done. I don’t get scan monitoring unfortunately. I suffer horribly with side effects, especially on such a high dose. Lots of pregnancy-like symptoms too, which is very annoying. I’m trying to stay relaxed because it’s the last shot but I’m a mess! X

How many rounds have you done previously? 150mg is very high! I can’t imagine the symptoms, they must be awful! Is the clomid working for O previous months?

I’m cd 14 today and roughly 2dpo today. The side effects haven’t been as bad as I thought they would be! Most of my side effects happened during the 5 days taking the tablets, apart from sore nipples and feeling bloated (which is the worst I’ve EVER had) that’s all I have, although the bloated feeling is making me feel absolutely awful! Oh and bding was painful!

When is AF due??

Fingers crossed this is your month! What happens after this cycle if unsuccessful? Do you move on to IVF like I do?

Hi Kay and mrsablett, I am now on day two of cramps and a very strange feeling abdomen. It now feels very bloated and I am so windy! I'm pretty sure I'm 1dpo so very similar to you Kay. AF expected on the 12th, my luteal phase is normally 12 days but I've heard clomid can make it longer. Its great that they've got you in for the ivf referral appointment already, one thing I'm not sure of is once Imit has been agreed that ivf is the next step, how long does it then take before you can start? Ive got 4 months of clomid supply from the clinic and then we are looking at ivf at that point, my consultant said. Good luck both, here's to a speedy two week wait! (Hopefully with no AF at the end of it) xx

The wind is ridiculous isn’t it! Lol I had that since stopping the pills and it’s still going! It’s very uncomfortable! You have the exact same cycle as me 12 day literal phase and AF due 12th. What mg of clomid are you on?

I was due to start IVF anyway but requested a 3 month try at clomid, to which I’ve done 1 so far whilst I wait for the appointment at the IVF clinic.

I’m already getting very impatient about this 2ww and trying to find symptoms which don’t exist yet!

Are you waiting for AF before testing sarahlou or are you hanging on ?

I'm on 100mg, you're right the wind is ridiculous! Wonder how long that delight will last lol. I'm going on a ski holiday on Sunday which I'm glad about as I think it will help take my mind off the wait this month. So I will be forced not to test until I'm back on the 12th at the earliest! You're going to test on 13th? Our ski chalet has a hot tub and I'm not sure if I should go in it. I know you're not supposed to hot tub when pregnant but I'm not sure if it will affect it at such an early stage (if by some remote chance I do actually get pregnant) x

I have been googling like crazy today because of the slip I had and hurt my back, I wondered if it would effect implantation, and apparently according to other people who wondered the same thing, it’s virtually impossible to stop implantation unless something extremely traumatic happens like a car crash etc... so I’m not sure but don’t think it will effect implantation if you did get into the hot tub... it might even help since u get to relax and like you said, not think about it! Maybe small doses of hot tub lol lucky you! Our landlord has decided he wants the house back so I’m house hunting now, which I thought would take my mind off it but hasn’t worked yet lol

I’m testing cd13 if I can hold out that long! I’m going to try my very hardest! Maybe wait till 13th if you can and we can come back with our bfp at the same time lol (wishful thinking)

That would be amazing wouldn't it! Yeah I've also been googling and come to the same conclusion about it being hard to dislodge implantation. I'm going to try not to overdo it and will just try and be careful though. I do find it v hard to keep my mind off it and think of other things - even when there's other big stuff going on - like you with your house thing.

I will still be on here when I'm away - its keeping me sane at the moment!

Has your wind etc stopped? Mine seems a bit better today I think.

Hang in there we are nearly half way through the 2ww which for us isn’t the full 2 weeks lol so we should count ourselves lucky I guess!

I hope you have a great holiday!! I have to wait till Oct for mine - if I’m pregnant this cycle I won’t be going as I’ll be due to give birth whilst I’m away!! Lol I have been looking into this way too much!!

Wind hasn’t stopped but is a lot better! I have a stitch now for the last few hours, which is giving me a deadish leg, it’s almost the same place as my left ovary.... no idea what that is..... I thought I may be ovulating and completely wrong about the other day! Lol but I’ve ruled it out now. For no reason what so ever! I also have very mild period pain cramps in my uterus so I have given up on life and don’t have a clue what’s going on anymore lol what about you? Any gossip? Anything I need to know?? As your clomid buddy I feel I should be included in all your bodily functions! Lol xx

Haha lol! I also keep wondering if I ovulated after I thought I did as the pains were intermittent on both sides until today when it seems a bit better - just the odd little twinge. But am hoping it was all post ovulation pain rather than o itself, as otherwise by DTD timing will be out! Also started the cervix thing this month and that is just totally confusing me as it seems really high today! So funny, ive never discussed my bodily functions in such detail!

The whole holiday thing is hard isn't it, its hard not to put things on hold but then you don't want to have to cancel them!

I think the period type pain thing is part of the clomid as I was feeling like that Tues and yesterday - like AF sort of pain.

I've read about your ovaries getting a bit swollen after o when on clomid so maybe that's what we are experiencing xx
