I am cd11 of my first clomid cycle. Have cd12 scan tomorrow am. However started using cb digi opks yesterday (new flashing ones) had blank circle yesterday and solid smiley circle today. Do opks work when on clomid - should I assume early ov? I will obviously find out more tomorrow am but haven't managed to bd over new year (2 nights on an uncomfortable airbed). Will dtd tonight if oh not too tired from journey back home. Just interested in other experiences of clomid and opks really. Thanks and happy new year xx

Hi, I know Londongirl used them and they worked. They didn't work for me last cycle but neither did the clomid so that's probably why lol.

I would say its safe to assume you're ovulating - will be interesting to see if your scan confirms it - good luck!

Yes I used them (not the flashing ones, just the normal ones) and they worked a treat. I started from cd10 on my second cycle and got blank circles until cd16 when I got my smiley. We dtd on cd15, cd16 and cd17. I think I ov'ed on cd16.

So you may well be oving. Do you have any ovulation pains or ewcm? I never really got any ewcm, just very wet (sorry if tmi).

Good luck - let us know how the scan goes xx

hmm that post just got me thinking crazycatlady so I googled clearblue ovulation kits and this is what I got:

8. Can any medication or medical conditions affect the result?a. Always read the manufacturers’ instructions for any medication that you are taking before conducting a test. b. Certain medical conditions and medications can adversely affect the performance of the Test: for example if you are actually pregnant, have recently been pregnant, have reached the menopause or have polycystic ovarian syndrome you may get a misleading result. This may also be true if you are taking fertility drugs containing Luteinising Hormone or human Chorionic Gonadotrophin. Please check with your doctor. c. Clomiphene citrate does not affect the tests, but may affect the length of your cycle and, therefore, when you should be testing. You may need to start a new pack and use the new test holder and test sticks to continue testing. - See more at: http://uk.clearblue.com/clearblue-o...tal-ovulation-test-–-7-test-pack#accord-video

so looks like im out cause I have pcos and l possibly get a misleading result :(

Thanks for the info yummymummy think I may be ovulating early as clomid may have changed cycle length. Clinic nurse told me to bd every other day from cd10 but next cycle will make it cd 8. Xmas and New year have got in the way a little. Have dtd this eve and hopefully will find out more at scan tomorrow.

I have flound that before and I always had two lines on the cheap opk's due to my pcos releasing small amounts of LH hormone constantly (that's why pcos'ers get false positive). I think however, if clomid has worked then the clear blue digis will give an accurate result.

I don't know why I'm worrying so much as I will find out exactly what is happening at scan tomorrow. Early ov took me by surprise I think. Hard to tell what ov symptoms I've had as clomid and Christmas and a tummy bug have made me feel rotten. Think I've been having strong ov pains on right today. Will update tomorrow.

So quick update before I forget. Scan showing no mature follicles - largest is 1.1. I was told that either I could have ovulated already or clomid dose was not enough. Then she said there was free fluid which could indicate I had ovulated already - I explained about +opk yesterday. Apparently a collapsed follicle should have been seen so they said not to stop dtd and am going back on weds for scan and bloods. Thery wanted Mon or tues but I can't as first days back at school.

Yes it usually says on the pack if they can be used with clomid.
Sorry there weren't any mature follicles. Hope it means you've ovulated already and good luck!
