Hi girls just wondered if anyone of you were into stuff like that? Like, going to see a spiritualist etc.?

Now I KNOW there are sceptics out there, probably more sceptics than believers, but each to their own and just wanted to make clear that I do believe that people can communicate on another level. I am a huge believer in things like that and positive thinking and tarot readings etc.

I had a reading done 5 years ago and then had one again a few weeks ago. Due to go to a different, highly respected, spiritualist tomorrow night and i'm so damn excited!

5 years ago, I was told "you don't want any more kids do you?" (and at that point we had only just got engaged so i was like no, I don't. She just replied with "well, that'll change!" and i thought no more of it.

When I went to the spooky a few weeks ago, was a lady I'd never been to before, and although it was a good reading it was mainly about my work etc. She kept putting her hand to her stomach and asking who had the stomach pains, was it myself or a family member. Well it's neither. I was due to ovulate though lol. She just said to me that whoever had the pain, if I found out, to tell them (or myself) that it's not just stomach troubles and to go to the doctor...........just for a second opinion. So not sure what that means.

This one I get tomorrow isa recorded reading. She asks at the beginning if there are any areas in particular you don't want discussed on the tape and she pauses the recording. now i know I shouldn't tell her, but don't want my family or friends hearing it, but i will have to tell her that I don't want anything about trying to conceive on the tape. Make sense? Or giving too much away?

She does however come highly recommended and doesn't give you a "fortune teller" reading, but rather relays messages to you and tells you who is coming through to try to talk to you. It's the other side that is giving you the messages.

Just wanted to know if anyone has been to one and been told good news, or anything that's been put to them that's come true?

Like yourself, I am a massive believer in this kind of thing. People will say don't rely on it as it just people making money from your hopes but pah! It's your life, you follow what you want!

Once every 12-18 months I go and see a man called John Starkey, he is based in Penn, Wolverhampton but he does travel the country - he is amazing! He has never got a thing wrong so if you're close I would highly recommend going to see him - google him as he has a website.

Anyway, I went to see him on the 21st December just gone and asked him if I would ever have a baby as I was fed up of waiting, he told me I would have a little boy in August 2012. I was dissapointed as that would of meant that I was already 4 weeks pregnant but a BFN 2 days before I went to see him and a period proved this wasn't the case.

I got my BFP on the 28th Jan with a due date of 29th September - I was really sad as I truly believed this man and for the first time ever he had got it wrong.

2 days ago I went for my first scan at 11+2 but the sonographer told me I was a little further forward than I thought - I was actually 15+5 - making my new due date 25th August..........

Spooky right? I don't know how this happened as I had had a period over christmas - hence the reason I though I was only 11 weeks pregnant, but baby is okay so I guess it was just one of those things.

Skeptics will say that I may not give birth until September but I don't believe that this is the case - I also believe that I'm having a boy. I guess at my next scan I will find out if John Starkey was right about this too.

I am a great believer in these type of thins too, I'd would absolutely LOVE to go to one and me and one of my best friends are supposed to be seeing a lady in a few weeks time.

My husband thinks its all very creepy (it's the catholic in him!) and says if I do go, he doesn't want to know anything she tells me. He thinks I could be setting myself up for disappointment or upset if she tells me something horrible

My OH is the same but in the end curiosity gets the better of him and he asks what was said. I don't like to look at it like 'I believe everything they say and I will hang on their every word' - it's more like I wonder if I will have a baby in August, I wonder if I am having a boy. It's kind of like my personal game - if it happens it happens, if it doesn't then I know that the medium is full of bull and I won't use them again.

Sorry I am a skeptic ladies, so I won't pooh-pooh your beliefs.

Cherry, I do agree that your experience was a bit odd but sadly as a skeptic I just put this down to the guy you see knowing that a lady who asks "am I ever going to have a baby" is 100% definately trying, and trying pretty actively / probably using TTC aids.... Granted his specifics were very specific though!

I'll be interested to see a) if you are having a boy and b) If bub arrives in August

There has to be something in it.

Some of these people are cranks and take advantage of vulnerable people but there a certain few who appear to be what they say they are.

I have friends who have been and have been told things about their family etc that no one could possibly have known.

I think it's so interesting! I'd love to know that my mum or gran were out there somewhere watching me.

I actually go to development and do clairvoyancy in hopes in a few year to do my mentoring and guiding. Its great, when I do readings I dont ask, or guess. You see pictures in your head and some people that do ask only require yes/no/dont know. If they ask for more than that then yes they are prob at it and you do get fakes. But Ive been called a looney and all sorts cause I can see&hear some mediums can only maybe see, read, hear, sense.

Every reading I have had has came true, even ones I had last year still are.

Got a reading last year before development and told that I would meet someone who does angel cards and introduce me to their circle. So I went away got my first flat ect, then went to move as you all know and my letting agent is actually an angel card reader and she has introduced me to her development group! Thats just a wee something something, Ive been told about things no one else would know. And I have had a reading from 5 different people(who dont know/work with each other) they have all told me my gran is giving me into trouble for drinking fizzy juice as I have an ulcer. That reading that I had got last week the lady told me that I would be having a baby soon she knew about issues me and dj had before deciding to ttc tbh actually girls I could tell you a whole book on readings I have or have given to people but I go every week and I do it so I would be here all day.

The lady I got last week was pretty good, she mainly spoke with my gran who was constantly moaning throughout the reading as she was buried with no shoes (by mistake) so her wee ghost is walking about sayin "wheres ma slippers? wheres ma shoes?" She mentioned the fact that my grans keys arent were they should be and this is annoying my gran cause shes still in 3 houses (my grans, mums, mine) I keep finding the feathers and pennies she leaves (relevent pennies/feathers are a sign of spirit).

One word of warning for those of you who are interested in going, please do not go to these fortune tellers in your market ect as these people do it purely for money. The church I attend is £2 for a night and thats an open hall one but good if your new and then you can book private readings but I always do mine through the church and only to reputable people as you shouldnt make money from spirit.

PS the £2 at my hall is a donation to charity.

I've never been a believer in it all always thought trickery BUT when my
Older sister went she wasn't trying for a second at the
Time they told her she will want another child but heartache will come then she will have a baby girl well two miscarriages later my beautiful Neice was born in NOvemener I'm still half and half about it all but that was so bizare not just the baby thing but everything was right!

The best place to go if you are ever curious but don't want to spend a fortune is your local Spiritualist National Union church. It will give you a good insight into how it all works without any pressure or payment. The readers are also very strictly regulated.

I am a psychic reader and know lots of spiritualists and mediums, some are frauds but I've met some that have blown me away and reduced me to tears with their messages. And for someone who was raised in a very strict Christian family like me that's really going some lol. Many of them will tell you themselves that they are actually sceptical about it and that's what makes them work harder to find real proof of continuing life.

Please only ever go to mediums and psychic readers who are recommended to you personally, don't pick them out of the free ads and stuff like that cos mostly you will pay a fortune to be told stuff your best mate could tell you for nothing more than a cuppa xxxxxxxx

Was her name Maggie by any chance? If so I can get you her number hun just don't know when. The one I went to recently was june field, she has a website. Expensive at fifty quid but you get it all recorded and you are there for an hour nearly x

Hi girls, my boyfriends mate went to a clairvoyant on sat and he asked what was in store for his best mate(my hubby)and he said that he is going to be a father quicker than he thinks and that we will have twins!!! His mate doesnt even know we are trying! Weird but im not sure i beleive it but i would love it to be true.

I totally believe in communicating with 'the otherside' and have experiences myself that I totally believe were my family members coming to see me. I had a reading a long time ago my best friend had one a bit more recently and I was featured a lot in it and to do with work and my job change, which she didn't actually know about at the time. We have a spiritualist church where I live but I need to find someone who would come with me!

Just thought i'd add my experience from last Thursday.

I visited a local medium who has been recommended to me for years.
Just I never plucked up the courage for a private sitting before!

Everything he told me was spot on from the past and present (inc personal conversations between me and my hubby which was totally unbelievable!).

Now, he asked me 'Are you pregnant?' to which I replied not my knowledge.
He said he felt as if we had been trying for a while and we were both quite stressed that it hadn't happened yet (which most people probably would be).

His reply was 'well, if you're not you will be very soon'. He also went on to say that we will have 2 boys......possibly twins which he commented was strange as twins do not run in either of our families (which they don't). He then said if they're not twins they'll be as close as medically possible. As in, as soon as one has been born I'd fall pregnant with the second straight after!

Since then I came across someone else who had seen years ago. The exact same phrase was said to her ('well, if you're not you will be very soon'). She fell pregnant 2 months later!

I was told that I would fall pregnant in my 3rd or 4th try but I fell pregnant 2nd cycle I will be going for another private reading soon to find out if they can tell me what im having earlier than the scan will
