Christmas Eve Boxes

I'm thinking a Santa mug, hot choc sachet, pj's, Xmas DVD & chocolates. :-) xx

This thread has got me feeling VERY festive which is unheard of for me at this time of year. Totally pinching this idea

I was considering the Xmas DVD but I'm not convinced that they would actually watch it. I will have a think!

I thought these bags were really cute to add their marshmallows and sweets in. I think they would also be ideal for the reindeer food too.

I was thinking of getting:-

The Muppets Christmas Carol
Polar Express
Santa Claus:The Movie (my fav!)

The next question is what time of day do I give the boxes out? They will need to time to watch the DVD's!

Doodles saw the trailer for Santa Paws & started jumping on the bed shouting "Mammy that's the best Christmas film I've EVER SEEN!" so think that's going in the box

We're giving Doodles his box at about lunch time after we've baked cookies to keep him occupied while we prepare everything else x

Lunchtime sounds good! Not sure if we are going out for a meal early evening like we usually do, so I think that time will be ideal. I may even give it to them in the morning, like a mini xmas day before xmas day, if that makes sense? lol

This is such a lovely idea :) Alex will be a bit little this year, but I'm going to get him a Christmas-y sleep suit so he can have that when he goes to bed on Christmas Eve :D

When he's older it can have pyjamas for that night, a DVD to watch before bed, and an activity book to do in the morning if he wakes up early - not sure that will actually work, nothing would stop me going into my parents room as soon as I woke up on Christmas Day when I was little (even now we 'negotiate' how early I'm allowed to get up  ), but I'll give it a go!

found a lovely Christmas game that's going in the box so we can all play it when hubby gets home from work on Christmas Eve, it's the Rudolph DVD board game x

Where did you get it from? Sounds fun.

HomeBargains hun, but they have them in Toys-R-Us too x

I informed o/h that we will be adopting this tradition  lo will still be a bit young this year but I'll get him some special Xmas jammies anyway :cloud9:

lol no HomeBargains & B&M Bargains are rivals x

Oh lol. I shall have to get it in Toys R Us then. Sounds like a fun game, I think the kids will love it!

Omg this is an amazing idea!!! I bloody hate Christmas but this has got me all excited! I'm totally doing this, I'm even gonna make myself a box too!!!

I'm going to give my girls their boxes on 23rd
as we are off out for a meal on Xmas eve, so won't have time
to play a Xmas game/watch DVD xx
