Christmas cake and cheese??! OH YES! We had fruitcake and cheese at our wedding for everyone while we had photographs - it went down a treat, there was none left for us either!

Yes can't eat it without, think it is a Yorkshire thing thou cos my aunt thought my gran had lost here marbles when she put cheese on the cake plate. Her face was a picture

I dont even eat fruit cake usually. I dont like it without. I had a chocolate wedding cake because I dont really like fruit cake.....I'm a right odd bod....

bugger... forot the marzipan to start decorating mine
I think it is a northern thing as my grandparents were on both sides of the penines and both did the chees thing, I only eat the stuff for the icing.... bugger I can't have it (I use raw eggs white )

Ah well our Christmas cake doesnt have marzipan or icing.....just straight fruit cake baked with sherry then soaked in brandy.....mmmmmm......damn Emily just ate the last slice of the homemade stuff!

My SIL has made us one this year as I just don't have time with work! Have to say thou I am a little unsure this time last year she would have gone out of her way to poison me
