Child Benefit

Hi,

Need some help with Child Benefit as I'm not sure what I'm entitled to.

1. How do I claim the £250 from the Government?

2. Do I get anything else for my LO i.e child benefit weekly or monthly?

you can apply for child benefit here - http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/childbenefit/claim-info.htm

they then send you a voucher for the £250 to start a child trust fund - see here...

Everyone who cares for a child is entitled to Child Benefit.
Once you submit your application form for Child Benefit, the £250 Child Trust Fund voucher will be sent to you automatically.
You may also be entitled to receive Tax Credits depending on your household income. You should have been given information on this with your Child Benefit application pack.
