Chewing but spitting out meat?

Lewis is nearly 19 months and we mainly did BLW with him. Yet he still chews up and spits out most meats. They aren't chewy meats for instance did some lamb in the slow cooker and gave him a good sized portion. Every mouthful he chews up and spits out. Same goes for chicken in a chicken curry which is soft as anything. It isn't that he didnt like it because he chews several hits and spits them out. He has plenty of teeth both incisors and molars. Do you think this is normal?

My LO isn't as old as Lewis (he's almost 1) so not sure I'm of much help! But Ethan is exactly the same. Pretty much all meat gets chewed on then spat out. I think it may be the texture as meat is different to anything else? The only meat Ethan will eat is sausage out of a sausage casserole, as they as so soft and easy to eat xx
